I installed the Derale D13503 in series with my existing factory installed auxillary cooler for added protection on my Ford Explorer Sport Trac. With the Sport Trac tranny having the reputation for overheating failure, I took the cooling up a notch! I tow a 7X14 enclosed v-nosed trailer, and now I am protected! It was a very easy install, and the included hardware made it pain-free :-)33186

Ask the Experts about this Derale Accessories and Parts

  • Will Derale 8000 Transmission Cooler, # D13504, Fit A Ford F350 7.3L Diesel With Factory Cooler
  • The best location for the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Kit, # D13504, on your Ford F350 7.3L Diesel would be between your vehicle grille and the air conditioning condenser. This location will give you the most airflow and allow the maximum cooling ability of the heat exchanger. You will want to measure to make sure you have clearance to install the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger measures 11 inches wide x 12 inches tall x 7/8 inch deep. The Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler

  • Transmission Oil Coolant Return Line Location and Transmission Cooler for a 2000 Ford F-250
  • I spoke with a local Ford dealership and found out that the return line from your factory cooler is indeed the one that is run to the rear of the transmission on your 2000 Ford F-250. You are correct, it is recommended that you install a transmission cooler in the return line of the factory transmission cooler. I would recommend the Derale Cooler, part # D13105, as the transmission cooler for your F-250. You will need a Derale Radiator Adapter Fitting for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury, par

  • Transmission Cooler Routing Recommendation on a 2002 Ford Super Duty Truck
  • Yes, you could use the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford, part # D13025, to allow you to use Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, part # D13504, with the factory cooler that is on your 2002 Ford Super Duty truck. You would want to route the Derale cooler after the factory cooler. By that I mean you would want to run the transmission coolant line from the transmission, to the factory cooler, then to the # 23785, and finally back to the transmission cooler. Routing

  • How to Tap into Transmission Fluid Return Line on a 2012 Ford Expedition for a Transmission Cooler
  • The line that you will need to tap into is the transmission fluid return line. The easiest way to determine the return line on your 2012 Ford Expedition transmission is to start the truck, shift into drive but do not go anywhere. After about 15 seconds or so put the truck back in park and apply the emergency brake. Turn off the truck. Out of the 2 hoses attached to the transmission, one should be warmer than the other. The one that is cooler is the return line. You can use radiator adapter fi
