- My first reaction was that they would all be the same. But, I went out to our parking lot where there are many recreational 5th wheel trailers with king pins I could measure. I measured about 10 and all of them, except for one, measured about 2-5/8 inches from the end of the pin to where it meets the base.
I also measured the Fifth Wheel Trailer King Pin, # T809, and it measures 3-11/16 inches from the bottom of the pin to the base and it is 4-5/8 inches tall overall.
