- First, hitch the trailer to the truck, then add air. Proper pressure level depends on many factors like truck used and what trailer the Airborne is on. Start at 80-100 PSI, if the ride is too stiff, let some pressure out. Too soft, add some more. Do not ever exceed 120 PSI. If you cannot get a good ride, then the air spring may need to be adjusted. See page 4 of the instructions.
I would let most of the pressure out before you un-hitch the trailer from the truck.

- Some 5th Airborne units have the air bag adjustment bolts on the top of the housing, while others are located on the underside. The fact that yours adjusts from the underside does not represent a problem.

- I spoke with my contact at 5th Airborne and he stated that you can leave the air bag inflated to the pressure that it is currently at provided it is within the recommended 80 to 100 psi range as indicated in the instructions. There is no need to increase or decrease the amount of pressure when storing the trailer because the air bag will not be under nearly as much stress as it is when towing.
