  • How many pounds of air pressure for Fifth Airborne Pin?
  • This is going to depend on your application and maybe some adjusting. A good starting point for pressure setting is 80-100 psi, however do not exceed 120 psi. If the ride is too soft, add more pressure. If the ride is harsh, remove pressure. I have included a link to the installation instructions, which show diagrams to help with installation.

  • Can a Colibert Gooseneck Adapter be Used with a 5th Airborne Coupler
  • I spoke with my contact at Reese. He stated that you can use the Colibert gooseneck adapter with a 5th Airborne Coupler, like # 5AB-E7920, as long as the adapter is the type that clamps on or uses set screws. But if the adapter requires any drilling, like on the Colibert Trailer Coupler, # 39062, it cannot be used with a 5th Airborne.

  • 5th Airborne Recommendations for a 5th Wheel Trailer with a Leland 7900 Pin Box
  • I spoke with my contact at 5th Airborne and he informed me that your Leland 7900 pin box will fit all the same 5th Airbornes as the Leland 7910 pin boxes. I attached a page that has all of the kingpins we offer for the 7910 pin boxes. The 5th Airborne that is the most similar to the Sidewinder # 5AB-E7920 would be the 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air-Ride Coupler # 5AB-S7910. This will not extend the pin box on your trailer any further than your current pin box is. I attached an FAQ on

  • Measuring the Pin Box on a 2006 Fleetwood 5th Wheel Trailer to Find a Replacement Pin Box
  • There are a couple of things you can do to identify the pin box on your trailer. First, you can call the trailer manufacturer with the trailer serial number and they may be able to tell you the make and model of the pn box. If they cannot help you, there are some measurements you can take on the pin box and I can use those to determine if there is a 5th Airborne Pin Box that is compatible. I have included a picture that shows the measurements needed.

  • Can a 5th Airborne Air-Ride Coupler be Used with a 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter
  • The correct 55th Airborne coupler for a Leland 7910 pin box is actually # 5AB-S7910. I have incldued a link to the installation instructions for you to view. Because the 5th Airborne units have shock absorption components in them, you cannot use a 5th wheel to gooseneck adpater. If you have a B and W turnover ball hitch, Hide-A-Goose from Draw-Tite or Reese, or an under-bed gooseneck hitch from Bulldog, you could use the Hi-Rise, # 9480. This is a 5th wheel hitch that mounts into the ball ho

  • How to Determine the Correct 5th Airborne Pin Box Replacment for a 2006 Alfa Gold 5th Wheel
  • To ensure you are getting the correct pin box for your 2006 Alfa Gold fifth wheel trailer we will need to know the make and model of your current pin box. If you cannot determine the make and model of your pin box, then you can call the trailer manufacturer with the trailer serial number and they should be able to tell you which pin box you have. If they are unable to help you, then you can take some measurements of your pin box and I can use those to determine what replacement pin box will

  • Can the Leland 7920 Pin Box Be Replaced With the 5th Airborne Air-Ride Coupler 5AB-S7910
  • Before you replace your Leland 7920 extended pin box with a medium length pin box you will want to verify that you will have enough clearance between your 2006 Dodge Ram and your fifth wheel trailer. The Fifth Airborne Air-Ride Pin Box - Standard, # 5AB-S7910, will bring your fifth wheel trailer approximately 3-3/8 inches closer to your truck than your current Fifth Airborne Air-Ride Pin Box - Extended, # 5AB-E7920. The bolt hole dimensions will match on both pin boxes, so compatibility w

  • How Tight Should the Bolts be on the Universal Wedge on a Reese Sidewinder
  • According to Reese on a Sidewinder you will only tighten the (2) 5/8-11 X 1 3/4 inch wedge bolts until the lock washers begin to engage. The wedge should be allowed to slide with the rap of a hammer or mallet. There are no specific torque ratings on the wedge. If you tap on it with a hammer and it does not move, you know the bolts are too tight.

  • 5th Airborne Pin Box Recommendation for a Trailer with a Lippert 1621 Pin Box
  • 5th Airbornes are pin box specific. The 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler # 5AB-E1621-610 is the one that is confirmed to fit your Lippert 1621 pin box. The # 5AB-S500-700 that your neighbor has is designed to work on Fabex pin boxes and would not work for you. Check out the FAQ article I attached on 5th Airbornes that has a fit chart also.

  • It is important that you check with Jayco or your trailer dealer to make sure it is okay to install an extended pin box on your trailer. Extended pin boxes create more stress on trailer frames and trailer manufacturers do not recommend using extended pin boxes on certain trailers. The 5th Airborne pin box that you referenced was designed to fit the Leland 7920 pin box. It has the same bolt pattern as your Leland af 7910 pin box and may work for you, but it will only provide an additional 9 i
