- The center bolts for the rails in the Reese Universal 5th Wheel Installation Kit, # RP30035, do go through the sheet metal of the bed but on the other side, beneath the truck, it will also pass through a spacer block that is included with the kit, a washer, lock washer, and finally the nut.
