• You are correct about the wires on the 12-Volt DC Outlet # A-101M. It has a hot wire and a ground wire. Grounding it directly to the trailer frame would be a good idea. It would need a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface for the ground. The power wire can connect to the 12 volt circuit on a trailer connector.
