The Original Custom Towing Mirror Slip on Mirrors by Longview
Slip on mirrors provide excellent towing visibility at an economical price. Mirrors come complete with hardware and are easily installed in minutes without any tools. The Original Custom Towing Mirror Slip On Mirrors utilize a positive hook and knob method to secure the mirror and also reduce wind vibration. The mirrors will not restrict the break away function of the OEM mirror housing nor the adjustment of the glass mirror.
Note: This mirror will not fit paddle style mirrors or mirrors with puddle lamps.
This should be what the mirror looks like on the Ford Ranger. The towing mirror will slide over this mirror.
The custom slide-on mirrors will NOT fit over the mirror pictured here. This mirror bulges out across the bottom making it too wide for the Original Custom Towing Mirror to slide over. The custom towing mirror will also not fit if there is a light in the mirror housing underneath the mirror.
The mirror is secured by the hook and knob. The hook grabs the front edge of the mirror housing while the knob ensures a tight fit.

This product slides over your existing mirror and gives you a wider field of view while you are going down the road. This product will fit a variety of vehicles; including the 1996-2005 Ford Explorer, 1996-2003 Ford Ranger, 1996-2005 Mercury Mountaineer, and the 1994-2004 Mazda Sport Pickup. This is a simple device. Basically it slides over your factory mirror and there is a hook that clamps it in place. We will start our install by putting our felt backer on the back of the mirror. This felt gets installed in the center of the opening where your factory mirror will reside. Basically it is a nice big sticker. At this point we can go to our factory mirror and install it. After we slide our towing mirror over our existing mirror, we install the hook. This hook will grab the edge of the factory mirror and comes through and reaches the opening on the other side. Now we take our knob and install it through the opening and tighten it down. There you have it, and as you can see the factory mirror is ready to rotate too. That pretty much covers it for part # 2200-A, the towing mirror from Longview. This part comes with mirrors for both sides of the truck.

Aside from some of my fat fingered fumbling, these mirrors went on in a snap. Easily went on my 2003 Explorer Sportrac, fit perfectly and stayed securely attached. All this and reasonably priced. Another plus was how fast I received the product after ordered. Sooner than I expected. Had my first outing with them on this weekend. Pulling the boat was a great improvement to my view of the boat and traffic behind me. 44887

The product looks like it should work well. I haven't installed them yet and obviously haven't used them, but they make the most sence of anything else of the market. From ordering to my door was about 6 days,( and that included a weekend). That was very fast. The only negative with these mirrors is that they need to be just a tad longer. it was hard to see the sides of my 21ft camper. if I swayed just a little I could see down the sides. However, I could see the trafficcoming up the sides, and that was a HUGE help. Those rigs and busses will get you if your not paying attention or cant see them. All in All I am Very happy with them.15862

They give excellent viewing coverage of the road, to the side and back when I pull my trailer. 3. I use them, even if I do not pull my trailer. 4. The mirrors were very easy to install and do increase slightly the viewing area to the sides of my trailer. They take a little "getting used to" because when I check my rear view mirrors I'm presented with two views which is a little confusing at first. I was disappointed to discover that they don't provide better view of vehicles that are directly behind my unit. The ordering, shipping and followup procedures by etrailer.com are truly commendable and their customer service is noteworthy. They will now be my first choice when searching for trailer products.78979

Before I ordered, I watched the video on how to install the mirrors, and it looked almost too easy! I recieved the set on time, even earlier than expected! It was almost dark outside, but I was wanting to see if I had the right set for my truck (2000 Ranger XLT w/elect mirrors). The left side slid on so easily, and fastened secureley, (like I knew what I was doing) I went to the right mirror and put it on and screwed on the cap! I was done in about 4 minutes! I haven't had the chance to use them, as I'm waiting to get my travel trailer out of the shop, so I can drive it home, and try out the mirrors.. I'm excited! Thanks etrailer! Mark59551

Im happy with these. I think this is the best option for tow mirrors whithout having to put out $500 or more. I could' t even find top dollar mirrors for a 2002 explorer. The mirrors here fit perfectly, look good, and are affordable. My next tv wont need these, it will come equipt with mirrors and a diesil engine. Ha ha51594
