Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Jeep Wrangler with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Jeep Wrangler's wiring harness, which is located at the rear of your vehicle, on both the driver's and passenger's sides. You will find the harness behind protective covers near the rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your Jeep Wrangler, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today on this 2006 Jeep Wrangler, we will be installing wiring harness part number 118409. We are going to start off underneath the vehicle. We are on the driver side, directly below the rear tail light. The parts we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into are located in this pocket underneath the vehicle. We are going to remove this down and show you where the connector is. Holding this flap up is a push rivet. You want to remove that. With that removed we can pull the flap down. If you look up in here, covered in protective tape is our connecting port that we will be plugging our wiring harness into. :40
What we want to do is separate these two. If I flip the connector over, if is hard to see, but there is a tab on the upper side of the connector. If we push that in, that will release the retaining clip, and we can pull the two pieces apart. We can then take our wiring harness, and since we are on the driver side, we are gong to use the connectors with the yellow and brown wires on them. Go ahead and plug our wiring harness in line. From there we want to go to the other parts of our wiring harness, a 4-pole end, and our passenger side connector and take and route them over the frame here. That way we can get them to the center of the vehicle. 1:17
With that routed through, we can put our flap back into position along with our push fastener and then route the other connector over to the passenger side. Over here on the passenger side, again we are going to pull back the push pin connector and pull back the flap. Over here on the passenger side, the connector is more hidden. If you take and locate the lead of wire with the loom, you can follow it up towards the bumper and towards the tail light. Then you can locate the connector back there. I was able to pull it towards the inboard side and back out. For this connector we are going to repeat the procedure we used on the drivers side. Take and feed my passenger side connector from the inside of the frame back out into our opening here. Then plug it in line. You will notice on the passenger side we have an extra wire. The white wire with a ring terminal is our ground wire. We need to ground it to the frame of the wrangler here. We are going to take the provided self taping screw and ground it to the frame right here. Once that is done, we can put our flap back into place along with the push rivet. 2:32
I am going to take the 4-pole end and tie it off on the trailer hitch here. You can see we have quite a bit excess wire hanging down, there are not a whole lot of places to tie these up to. I am going to use the holes at the bottom of the bumper as attaching points and use the provided zip ties to hold the wire up out of the way. With that, that will conclude the installation of the wiring harness, part number 118409 on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler.

Received the hitch bumper, trailer light wiring kit and bracket very quickly. The hitch assembly, made in the USA, appears very high quality with a finish that should easily resist weathering. The wiring kit and bracket were complete with easy to follow instructions. We installed the hitch and connected the wiring in less than 45 minutes. Son-in-law is a great weekend mechanic, so I'd have taken somewhat longer by myself. Simple, quality items I'd highly recommend to anyone! I had secured estimates from a dealer and a local garage for this complete job; both approached $500! Etrailer.com sold me all the products required for under $200, and shipping was free! This is one of the easiest wiring kits for the Jeep Wrangler. You simply get to the original plugs and pull them apart, and put these plugs in between where the plugs were. Connect a ground and you are on your way with the wiring for a trailer. Quality is excellent.36986

The T-wiring harness arrived within 2 days after ordering using standard shipping. The quality of the harness was top notch like all products from E-Trailer.
