Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Honda CR-V with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required. Circuit-protected converter guards against shorts.
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Honda CR-V's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
Circuit-Protected Tail Light Converter
A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your Honda CR-V's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your Honda CR-V operate.
This converter safeguards itself and your vehicle against possible electrical shorts and overloads with integrated short circuit protection. Just install the connector as indicated and rest assured that the wiring system of your vehicle will remain feedback-free.

Today on this 2007 Honda CR-V we are going to install part number 118427 from Tow Ready. Alright, the first thing we need to do is get inside the vehicle and remove the interior panels to find the port that we need to plug the wire harness in to. Remove the floor panel until we are down to the spare tire. We also need to remove the threshold so we can pull apart this side panel right here. First we will go ahead and remove the tie-down loops that are on the inside here. We will just go ahead and remove them. We have the driver side done. Now let us do the passenger side. OK to remove the plastic rivets it is a little bit different from most. You actually take the center and push it down. And then it pops right out. You can use your fingers or you can use a special tool to help pop them up. But usually apply pressure and they will release on their own. Pop open this panel. There is a little tab you have to pull out. And then you want to use a trim tool to pop the releases here. There is a plastic rivet here that you have to remove as well. It gives you a little bit extra wiggle room. And then you can pop the panel a little bit more until you can see the interior wiring. 1:08
Now the reason why you have to pull out the panel so much is that the connection point is actually right in this area here. And our port is a white connector wrapped up with light blue tape. You just need to free it from the tap and we can plug our wire harness right into that. OK, we will plug in our wire harness. And then we will take our ground wire with the loop and attach it to the factory ground that is right here. Our ground is hooked up. Take our adhesive back off of our converter and place it on to the interior side of the sheet metal. We will route our 4-pole wire underneath and to the spare tire compartment. We will just leave that alone for now. We will go ahead reinstall the interior panels. Now you will have to take the plastic rivets from the threshold and kind of peel them apart and reset them. Take these two points and kind of pull them apart. And them push them to the top and it resets the rivet. 2:48
Our 4-pole wire will be stored underneath the floor covering until we need it. Now we will go ahead and show you how to use the 4-pole. Basically you pull up the floor cover, pull it out. Make sure you stay away from the center latch. And shut the door on it. The door seal is thick enough and it will not hurt anything when you shut the door. Pull down what you need to go down to your trailer. And we are finished. Alright and there you have it for part number 118427 from Tow Ready.

I just installed the hitch and wiring harness this morning. It went in without too much difficulty. The only change I would make to the installation instructions would be to improve removing and reinstalling the muffler rubber isolator hangers. The outside isolator is straight forward just remove isolator from muffler pin let isolator connected to the frame pin. The inside isolator pin I had to remove from the frame pin first. I could not get it off the muffler pin until the muffler was dropped down then I could remove the isolator hanger from the muffler pin. Note, install the inside muffler isolator hanger back onto the frame pin before bolting the hitch in place. Just not enough room to get the inside isolator back on the frame pin after the hitch is installed. The spacing between the hitch cutout and the frame pin is too close to get the isolator back on the frame pin. See the two photos I have attached below. 66958
After purchasing this hitch and wiring kit for a 2010 Honda CRV I was pleased to receive the follow-up, informing me that the order had been processed and shipped. This vendor's customer service is the best I've had the pleasure to experience for any online purchase ....bar-none! Shipping was followed up and very informative also. It arrived on time and intact via UPS! The online install information and video was right on the money. This had to be the easiest of any hitch and wire kit I have ever installed, and I have probably designed, built, or modified 20-30 hitches in my many years of custom car and motorcycle building, racing, R/V-ing, towing and farming! I look forward to doing business again soon . Thanks!! ......Frank Lyons 70052

I don't normally bother with reviews but you guys saved me a lot of money and aggravation. Here is why. The wiring harness on my 2008 Honda CRV was installed two years ago when the trailer hitch was installed. The left turn signal stopped working and the shop that installed the wiring harness sent me on my way telling me it was a problem with my trailer wiring. I thought I would take it to the local Honda dealer and have a new harness installed. When I asked for an estimate it was about $180 for the harness and about the same price to install it! It was then I found your video on installing a wiring harness and thought "what do I have to lose". I followed the instructions, tackled the panels in the trunk and was able to get at the wiring harness. Excited, I ordered your harness and installed it in 30 minutes. It works fine and I was able to put the trunk back together. Thanks for the video, it really made a difference in my confidence to tackle the project and save me a bundle along the way. 154833

My CRV wiring harness arrived on time to the promise date and performed as specified. The online video was helpful and gave me confidence that I would be able to install it myself before purchasing it. It installed pretty easily but some patience was needed for pulling open the plastic panels in the car. I like having the connector stored in the spare tire well. 115295

Removing the panels for the electrical kit was also different that the video. I ended up with broken panel retention buttons that I will have to replace to make the job right. 92081

JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, CAME WITH EASY INSTRUCTIONS, WORKED GREAT THE FIRST TIME 59294
I am using this on a 2008 CR-V to run a set of towing lights attached to the back of a large bike rack for added visibility. Installation went exactly as it should have, with no problems at all during the whole process. I didn't even need the included grounding screw because I was able to use an existing ground screw already in the car. I love the fact that no wires need to be spliced; this thing just plugs in! So far, it has been working flawlessly. I thought it was odd that the sides of the plastic box were bulging slightly, but that doesn't seem to have any effect on the operation of the device. I totally recommend this for anyone who needs to use a trailer or auxiliary lighting with their CR-V. 53034

In addition to needing a trailer hitch, I also needed the wiring to safely and legally haul a utility trailer. Honda was smart to have the wiring harness pre-installed at the factory, and the folks at etrailer were smart to carry a product that easily plugs right into this harness. From start to finish, including properly removing and re-installing the cargo panels, it took me about 15 minutes to install this harness. The trailer's lights are operating at full brightness now, which they never did on our old minivan that was "professionally" wired by a local shop. I highly recommend this product if you have a CR-V from the compatible years! 89898

Great product, but the video guidance on etrailer.com could be improved. Showing, instead of just saying, how to remove the center button trim clips might avoid breaking them. Also, a tip... When reinstalling the muffler, the video just says to reconnect the rubber hangers without showing how. We found out the inner rubber piece could be easily reconnected by removing it from the muffler, connecting it to the vehicle hanger hook, then sliding the muffler hook into it. After that, the outer hanger is easy to reconnect. 43035
Complete perfection! I do not typically write reviews but this experience warranted it. I ordered my wiring harness on Monday at noon. By 3pm I had received an email saying the product shipped (I only selected regular i.e. Cheap shipping). the harness arrived at my house on Wednesday! The product was perfect. The video was perfect. Installed exactly as described. I am always weary about shopping online from any sight other than the "big" guys, but this proved that etrailer.com is a proven winner. Outstanding! 24925

Wiring harness was delivered within a few days, and was exactly what was ordered. Installation was fast and easy following the attached step by step directions. From the time I opened the vehicle up to the time i closed it was less than 30 min. Hooked it up to the trailer and everything worked correctly. Made the right choice by buying this product. Sorry I did not take pictures, but it just went together so fast and easy i was done in no time. Thanks etrailer 123174

I ordered the 2008 Honda CRV trailer wiring harness, after conducting some internet research. The entire ordering process, to include arrival was absolutely excellent. To top things off, the installation video, provided on the website, made installation of the harness a breeze. From time of item arrival, to the operational checkout of the trailer lights was less than 1 hour. The best internet shopping experience that I've had. 7762

Perfect in every aspect. Just installed the wiring in my 2009 Honda CRV. Took 25 minutes at a leisurely pace that included testing. Instructions were easy to follow AND accurate (an unfortunately rare luxury these days.) Price, shipping, service, and website were all great. Particularly liked the ability to view instructions and installation videos in advance. Really helped me to decide to do it myself. Glad I did. 50451

Purchased Hidden Hitch Class 3, 2" hitch for my 2007 Honda CRV along with wiring harness and ball mount. Not the handiest person in the world but after installing this hitch, my handy-ego has been inflated. The videos on the website are spot on and are a huge resource for installation. Support during the sale and after were much appreciated. This is one of my top five e-commerce experiences. Well done etrailer.com! 94526

Package showed up on time and complete. I used the Youtube video for the install and it was a breeze. The 2008 Honda CRV comes with a socket already installed at the factory, so I just had to remove 2 interior panels, plug in the wiring harness, screw in the ground wire, stick the module to the inside fender, reinstall all panels and I was done! No drama. I should have this kind of luck with all my projects! 92003

Wiring harness fit like a glove and worked perfectly. This was for my 2009 Honda CRV. Look for my review of the trailer hitch that I installed. This harness was for that vehicle. What a breeze to snap together. This had to be the easiest part of the job. The best part though, when I was all done everything worked (Lights, directionals etc). Thanks again E-Trailer. We are friends forever. Randy Hastings in NY. 39558

I love the product and the etrailer.com company behind the product. I had great communication from the day of my order and continuing until the product was delivered. The wiring harness came exactly as described and installed in 15 minutes. The video provided by etrailer.com was extremely helpful. This was my second flawless purchase from etrailer.com and I'm sure there will be more! 34528

The product was exactly what was described. I installed it on my 2011 Honda CR-V in less than 1 hr. No issues and no problems. I used it the next day to trailer home a log splitter I rented from Home Depot. Considering what "Professional" installation would have cost me this was a great deal. The installation video was a great help. 149456
Excellent installation videos made this a snap to install. I loved how it was "plug & play" with no cutting or tapping into the wiring. Etrailer support was excellent as they answered my question about compatibility with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness that I also wanted to install. That gave me the green light to make this happen. 109017
Easy to install because of the video instructions, which were tailored to my 2011 Honda CRV. Worked perfectly right away. I like that the connector hides away in the spare tire compartment until I need it for towing. Only criticism is that the self tapping sheet metal screw did not thread properly. I had to supply my own screw. 129429
Easy to follow instructions. The video on Installation was a great help. Thanks for the quick turn around on the order. I had the entire installation in place in 45 min. I would absolutely without a doubt order from e trailer again. Outstanding, professional, and above all else care about their customers. Thanks for all the help 9114

Plug and Play. Couldn't be easier. I bought a similar style converter once from U-Haul and that one has LEDs to show signal on the output and I think that should be standard, so diagnostics of problems would be easier. This one doesn't have that feature, but it is otherwise functional and easy to install. 30518

My order arrived within a few days and after reviewing the installation video on your web site it was real easy to install. It took a total of about 15 minutes start to finish and everything worked great. I am very satisfied with the service and product, it was well worth the money. Thank you so much. 17579

Good harness Not bad to install, but instructions could be better as far as how to remove the interior panels. No need to drill a hole for the ground wire; there's a body ground nearby that works fine. Wire tucks neatly inside the spare tire compartment, and fits under the tailgate seal when in use. 726

If I'd watched that install video just before I did it, I would not have broken one of those little plastic rivets... but that is all I broke the first one and not a bad learning curve. All else worked well - I plugged in my hitch cable tester and all the light wiring worked as it should. 57793
by: Rich D.05/20/2008
great plug and go harness This required disassembly of my left rear trunk area. I also cut the wires to feed them through an access hole near the left side, soldered them back together and taped them up. This was a much cleaner install. This took me about 1 hour to do without rushing 889
Service was TOPS The entire process of ordering the parts was as smooth as could be. The information on installation was excellent and extremely handy. I was even informed that the parts had been delivered before I noticed them on my porch. Now that was service. A+ experience. 5463
very easy to install and the online instructions make it impossible to mess up. I also ordered the receiver and as sometimes happens the incorrect part was shipped. Without question the new one was shipped and Kellie took care of me right away. I will use etrailer always! 159760

I am not a pro by any means and I had this installed in about 40 min. Directions were straightforward and simple. It shipped out promtly and there was plenty of follow up from etrailer.com; they understand customer service, no question. Thanks again, Dave 46475
Excellent Purchase! Installed in about 20 minutes while taking my time. Paper instructions are confusing so follow the video instructions instead; http://www.etrailer.com/tv-wiring-install-2008-honda-crv.aspx. It took 6 business days to ship to QC, Canada. 2464
This product is working fine now. I had to replace the one I bought 4 years ago, it failed for an unknown reason. The install is very easy, one plug in & one eyelet to screw to ground. The hardest part is pulling out the panels in the CR-V to get to it. 40315
My order was delivered quickly, and the installation instructions were clear. The video was very helpful and made the installation go smoothly. An excellent product from a supplier that prides itself on top quality service. Thank you etrailer! 12443

Great Web Site After reading your Instructions I decided to take a chance and install the harness on my CR-V. Tell your customers to pull the rubber trim around the hatch back, its not glued and makes the panel trim easy to grab..Thanks 993
I never used the wiring harness. I found out I had one installed already sitting on the spare tire of my 2009 Honda CR-V. I had not idea that was where it was. etrailer agreed to take the wiring harness back and pay the shipping. 171167

Fair price, Nice quality, Perfect fit, easy electrical hookup. Accurate directions. Very satisfied. Installer might an aid to installation would be a metric tap to clean vehicle bolt holes and Vaseline to lube muffler hangers. 88261

The video for this installation was a big help. A minor hiccup because my CRV has a retractable cover over the rear area which initially kept me from removing the side cover far enough. Once I worked that out, it was a breeze. 8629

From placing the order to it's arrival this has been by far been my best experience! I told my co-worker and he ordered a hitch and wiring harness for his vehicle too, what more can I say? EXCELLENT!! Thanks etrailer staff! 35826

Excellent Company In dealing with etrailer I found them to be very courteous and helpful. My item arrived when they said it would. The item I received fit perfectly and was a snap to install. Thank you, etrailer. Good job. 5075
Easy and works I saved almost $275 by visiting this web site. The video installation instructions were absolutely invaluable. Entire installation took me minutes. Worked immediately. No additional "tuning" was needed. 1903

Getting ready to install the item, but it looks GREAT! and just as described. This is definitely the way to go with the trailer connection. Shipping was fast also. Great job! would order from them again. 107856
Installation video was very helpful and this product is excellent and easy to install... Modular connection is much more reliable and easier than the Splice method... This is absolutely worth the money... 131549

Works as described. Installation video is easy to follow. I did have to replace one of the snap attachments as I did not line it up accurately during the replacement. Otherwise, it was a simple procedure. 143213

I'm 85 so my son installed the hitch and had no problems with it. After looking at the trim panel in my CRV, I have decided that I may get professional help in removing it to install the wiring harness. 59232
This harness worked exactly as it should. The hardest part was removing the panels to get access to the connector. Honda should have made this more accessible, but otherwise it was a piece of cake. 79907
This harness was a snap to put in thanks to Honda for pre-wiring and putting in a connector plug. It took longer to remove the access panel than to connect the harness. Everything is working fine! 73221
