Today were going to review part number PK11916. This is the twist-in seven pole RV style trailer connector for Chevy and GMC vehicles. This socket is designed to fit into a pre-existing cutout on your GM truck models 2007 and newer. This twist-in connector also serves as a replacement for OEM sockets on GM trucks 99 and newer that came with the factory tow packages. Basically, the way this would insert is on your truck on the bumper usually, there is a cap thats in the hole that this would go into. If you just take that cap, twist it and pull it out, then the hole would be exposed.
You would take this and these tabs right here, you would just line it up, put it in, twist it into position. That would lock this onto your rear bumper. This socket is made of a high-impact nylon construction which will resist corrosion, has a spring loaded lid as you can see here with a stainless steel pin, and has a runner gasket on the inside. That lid will help prevent intrusion of moisture when closed. If you do get any moisture on the inside, at the very bottom here, there is a drain slot which is angle designed for drainage.
So, basically, when this is installed on the bumper, this will actually angle towards the cap here which if any moisture does get inside it will go down that drain slot and drain out. This part does include the wiring diagram for quick installation, does have the copper-plated terminal pins you can see here which will give you high conductivity and low resistance, and at the very back you might be able to see its sealed with a silicone at the back of the socket and this will prevent moisture from contacting your mating connector. So, basically, when you install this you remove that cap off your bumper, put this in, lock it into place, take your harness that is on your truck and plug it into the back here. You have a working seven way on your truck. The application again is all Chevrolet and GMC trucks 2007 and newer and it will serve as an exact replacement for 99 to current Chevy and GMC trucks with the factory tow packages.
The current rating on this is 30 amps. The volt rating is 12 volts and it does come with a one year limited warranty. And, that should do it for review on part number PK11916. .

piece of cake without the installaton video to show how easy this is to install, I might have relegated the entire hitch install to a shop, just to avoid having to cut into the wiring harness and making a big mess of things. In 20 seconds I was able to utilize the factory wiring harness and leave a profesional looking result when I was done. The manufacturer (Pollak) directed me to etrailer where I easily located the correct trailer connector. Apparently my 2004 Nissan Titan was retrofitted at the dealer with this style connector. I bought the vehicle new. The dealer's parts department had no information for this part or the hitch. Your website was easy to navigate and the pictures simplified the process. Looks like OEM and took all of a minute or two to install. The video was very helpful to show how to remove plate on back of rear bumper. The wiring harness on my 2012 Silverado wasn place so it was only a matter of removing plate and plugging in. A seven point adapter then plugs into this and the trailer plug just pushes onto the adapter. I tried both a seven point adapter that I kept from my 2005 Silverado and also a seven point adapter that my brother has on a 2011 Honda Pilot and they are all universal and worked just fine.. Very user friendly.The tow hitch took about 45 minutes to also install with no help (though a second person could make it a 30 minute ordeal tops). Very pleased and the shipping was ahead of original date with just normal ground freight.. 47314
