T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - 2002 Voyager by Chrysler

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Chrysler Voyager with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required. Includes tail light converter.

Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your Chrysler Voyager to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind driver's-side tail light
    • Plug in T-connector
  • Includes a tail light converter to ensure that your Chrysler Voyager's wiring matches that of your trailer
  • Constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector

Specs:

  • Maximum amperage:
    • Stop/turn lights: 2.1 amps per circuit
    • Tail lights: 5 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Chrysler Voyager's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side tail light. You will have to remove the tail light assembly to access this harness.

T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in the jack storage compartment of your trunk.

Alternate Wiring Route

You can also route the wiring in the manner shown above to stow the 4-way flat connector beneath your Chrysler Voyager, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure if you are mounting it near the hitch.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Tail Light Converter

A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your Chrysler Voyager's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your Chrysler Voyager operate.

Video Transcript for Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Chrysler Town and Country

Today on this 2003 Chrysler Town and Country we are going to install 118376 from Tow Ready. Our connection point is actually behind the taillight on the driver side. We are going to go ahead and take out these two plastic rivets, make our connections, then run our 4-pull to the inside of the vehicle, and it will be stored in the jack storage compartment when we are not using it.

Okay so lets get started, take out our plastic rivets, the light comes off relatively easy. You have to push the lock up towards the top where it unlocks it, then squeeze it, and it comes right apart. Next what we are going to do is modify our grommet here, because our connection points are going to be pushed behind the far wall here. So go ahead and take out the grommet and make a split in it and just remove the grommet. Next we are going to take our 4-pull end and push it back inside here. There is some installation stuff like that you probably have to work your way around. Then we will reach around from the inside, fromthe jack storage compartment, and pull it out.

We will go ahead and put the converter box inside too. Okay and we will go back behind the tail light and make our connections. We will plug them together, make sure you push that lock back into place because it can come apart. This assembly will go back here, make sure you keep your ground wire out, so you will end up with one plug and a ground. We will take our grommet and put it back together around the remaining wires and snap it back into place. Then we will ground our terminal here to the sheet metal below. Then we can go ahead and reinstall our tail light.

To use the wiring harness all you need to do is pull it out, put it over any part of the trim here, just stay away from the latch, and you can go ahead and shut your hatch onto it and pull out the length you need to get down to the trailer hitch. That way that harness is not sitting outside all the time and will not be subject to corrosion. And that finishes it for our part number 118376 from Tow Ready.

I bought my hitch from etrailer.com 4 years ago. When I bought a similar van, I was able to move the hitch over but couldn't reuse the hardware or light kit. When I called in, customer service was able to find my previous order immediately and sell me just the parts I needed. I placed my order on a Wednesday morning and with standard shipping, it was on my door step the next afternoon. I highly recommend etrailers.com to my friends.52080

Very easy installation. Wire could be a bit longer. I found it easier to push the trailer end of the wire through the tail light hole from the outside rather than feeding it back from inside to the tail light. Installation Video would not play all the way through when I went to install (it did previous to me buying the wiring harness). I have not tried it out yet to see if it works (115 F today in Oklahoma and not going to out to the lake until cooler!! Al Gore is clicking his heels with glee!!). I am a member of the "slow" group as it took me about 45 minutes to do the installation.50167

The wireing harness itself was a very well made product. What is lacking is appropriate installation instructions. A non-mechanicallly minded person without formatable knowledge of there vehicle and how it is disassembled, could be easily frustrated with trying to figure out just how to wire the harnes correctly without damaging their vehicle. Not everyone has access to the internet video at time of installation. recommend including a printed instruction sheet explaning the disassembly of the vehicles interior.48398

Didn't take any photos, but it only took me 10 minutes to completly install the wiring harness, I used a metal yard stick to push through the insulation in the body area and then used the yard stick to push the wire through. Hooked up to my trailer, lights all worked perfect. Would recommend this product to anyone who needs wiring installed in their vehicle.48226

All I have to say is WOW! I searched high and low for this part at all of my local auto parts stores and there was only one who could get it and it was 4 times the price that I paid at e-Trailer. The converter kit along with the how to video on the e-Trailer web site on how to install it was perfect. I had the trailer lights installed in under 10 minutes. I plan on using e-Trailer for ALL of my future parts needs. The company provided plenty of communicaiton from the time the part was ordered through delivery. Mark me down as an exteremely satisfied customer! 41268

I'm not a huge under the hood kind of guy, but this was a simple install. I watched the video first. It was definitely helpful. It took all of 15 minutes to install the harness and at 25-30% of the cost of the other harnesses I was looking at. If you own a Caravan and need an aftermarket wiring harness, please don't go through the dealer....$$$$$ This harness is by far the easiest and least expensive way to go.18789

First of all, I was pleased at how quickly and inexpensively you shipped the product. While many businesses use UPS as their basic shipper, by sending it Priority Mail, I was able to receive the package within two business days of your prompt shipping. Second, you on-line instructional video was excellent and thorough. As a result, I was able to install the lighting harness very quickly and easily. I am very pleased with your service.16300

Super easy to install This product was very easy to install. It took me about 30 minutes to install it. It also works fine. I was going to have a mechanic install wiring to my van but he said he couldn't because the van didn't already have the needed relays to install trailer wiring. This unit works fine and has not cause my van any trouble. I highly recommend this. Don't waste money having a mechanic install trailer wiring!1928

Have a helper sit in the drivers seat so they can activate the various lighting functions. Test each function on the input side of the converter box. With the right turn signal activated, you should show voltage on the green wire entering the box. The same goes with the yellow
