Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Chevrolet Silverado. This T-One typically plugs directly into the back of your factory-installed 7-way connector so you can retain the 7-way and also pull a trailer that has a 4-pole flat.

Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Chevrolet Silverado's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper. If you have a factory-installed 7-way, blade-style connector, the T-One will plug in between the 7-way and the OEM socket.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your Chevrolet Silverado, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today on our 2003 Cadillac Escalade well be installing the Tow Ready custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118384. With our vehicle equipped with a pigtail well simply go ahead and take the end of the pigtail, press on the locking tab and remove the cap. Now well bring in our Tow Ready custom fit wiring harness, plugged directly into the manufacturers connector. Then well take the cap that we just removed from the manufacturers wiring and plug into the other end of our T connector. Now we can go ahead and route our wire along the hitch and out behind the bumper. Next well go ahead and take some zip ties and secure the wiring to the hitch and behind the bumper, and well take a pair of side cutters, cut off any excess from our zip tie.
That will complete the install of our Tow Ready custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118384 on our 2003 Cadillac Escalade.

On my 2012 GMC Sierra, this was the best way to retain the 7 pole factory connection and also have a 4 pole connection. This product lets me have both 4 and 7 pole connections available at the truck, all the time, without adaptors to carry around. Most of the light trailers I pull have the 4 pole connection. I don't use the factory 7 pole very often. Installation is about 2 minutes. Check out the video on this product, it's very helpful.38140

Received complete order and was very well packaged. It was a one man job and took me about 1 hour to install the trailer hitch receiver. Most time was consumed because of rust in screw holes. Perfect fit on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Hitch and wiring harness installed in 20 minutes. This is my fifth hitch and wiring harness purchased thru etrailer and have yet to be dissapointed. Both the video and written instructions were spot on, the installation of the wiring harness couldn't be easier!34414
Just did this install on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee everything is just like the video. But the only thing that worked was tail lights. No turn or brake lights. I could not find any fuse or relays bad or missing. Did I miss something?

Part # 118384 is designed for Grand Cherokees with a factory tow package. Without the factory tow package, not all functions will work. In order to make it function, youll need to head to your dealer and have them re-flash either the Body Control Module BCM or Power Control Module PCM to fully activate that port.The other option is to use a harness designed for Grand Cherokees that dont have factory tow packages like part # 118425.

the trailer hitch adapter I bought for my GMC truck was just what I needed to attach an LED lightbar below the tailgate and still have a plug for a trailer.
