Today on this 2000 Chevrolet Express Van, full size, 3500 series, we are going to install part number 118240 from Tow Ready. Our wiring connection points are roughly around behind the tail light area. This is going to be one on each side. We are going to have to get behind the panels right here to get somewhere in this vicinity. It has got some special clips on the inside so be careful when you take them apart so they do not break because they will break kind of easy. To get these loose, what you want to do is kind of pry it out a little this way on the base putting some tension against it and then use the screwdriver and push the tab in a little and then it will pop right out. 00:38
This is our harness right here. We are going to plug right into it. Next take the ground wire and use the self tapping screw that comes with the kit and we are going to run it right to the sheet metal. At this point we can start putting back all of the paneling and carpet. Before you put the panel back in leave the wiring out. We are going to take the wiring harness and leave it in the corner right here and just leave it alone from there. Try the tester on the ground. Now we will try the left turn signal. Now the right turn signal. Now test the brakes. Your brake will be the yellow and the green so we are good to go. There you are and that finishes it for part number 118240 from Tow Ready.
