Today on our 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup, well be installing the Bargman 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole plug, part number 51-97-411. To begin our install, well first locate in the pickup bed where well be mounting our 7-pole, then using a smaller bit for our pilot hole, once weve located a spot well go ahead and drill our hole. Well go ahead and drill out using the two inch hole saw as recommended per the instructions. Now with the large hole drilled out, well go ahead and feed half of our T-connector through the hole then our other plug followed by the remainder of the wire until our 7-pole mounts flush with the bed. Then using the self-tapping screws provided with our install kit, we can go ahead and secure the 7-pole plug to the bed side. Next well get underneath the vehicle and start routing our wire over to the back of the bumper where the manufacturers wiring meets the bumper. Here at the back of the bumper, well go ahead and disconnect the manufacturers wiring from the back of the 7-pole plug at the bumper.
To disconnect the two, well slide the red locking tab over, then press on the connector lock removing it from the socket. Taking the manufacturers wiring, well plug into the matching connector of our new wiring harness. Once we have the connectors firmly pressed together, well go ahead and slide the red locking tab over taking the other end of our T-connector wiring plugging back into the manufacturers 7-pole plug again sliding the red locking tab into place. Now with our connection made, well go ahead and roll up our wire and using some black zip ties, secure our wiring up underneath the bed. Once we finish securing the wiring, well go ahead and cut off the excess from the zip ties to clean up our install look. That will complete the installation of the Bargman 5th Wheel Gooseneck 90 Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole plug, part number 51-97-411 on our 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup. .

Product was well made and fit well. Plenty of extra cable. Maybe 2 versions, one for short bed and one for a long bed would be better so there is not so much extra cable to try to tie up.76535
