The oversize ratchet on this tie-down strap has a rubber-coated handle and a release lever so you can easily tighten and loosen the strap. Corrosion-resistant double J-hooks are vinyl coated to help prevent scratches on cargo. 2,000 lbs Max load.
Specs:
Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson Easy Tie-down Ratchet Straps with Release Levers. These are going to be about 15 foot long, plenty of length to be able to get our four-wheeler nice and tied down. The nice thing about this is both of them are going to have a working load limit of 660 pounds, which is going to be perfect because 660 times two is going to be plenty of strength to be able to tie down our 600 pound four-wheeler. So let's just go ahead, go around back and take a look.Pretty much everybody's got a way they like to tie these things down. What I'm going to do is actually just use one for the front, one for the back.
We really don't have to use both of them in the back or the front. Two is just enough to be able to haul safely and to get our four-wheeler wherever we want safely and quickly. I usually try not to use a whole lot of ratchet straps. I like to use ratchet straps that are perfect for my application. So with the weight and everything of the four-wheeler and these, it's going to be great.
If you guys can go ahead and do it however you want, the double J hook on the end is vinyl coated, so you don't really have to worry about it messing with all your equipment, but all I'm going to do since I'm using two, so I'm just going to kind of tie it down to my ball mount, put it up on this side real quick.Tie this down and get it going. It shouldn't be a really long process, but we do want to take your time and make sure it's nice and tied down properly. What I like about it is we do have a little release lever here and just our lever in general, they both have rubber coatings on them, so it's going to be a little easier on your hands. It's not a massive handle, but it's not a massive ratchet strap. And just like that, we're pretty much done.
This is about a seven and a half foot wide trailer. And we can go from that side to this side and tie down our four-wheeler pretty easily. We have a little bit of excess, which that isn't a big deal. So I'm going to do something with this. Everybody's got their ways to do it, but we do have a couple different products that are going to take care of this extra rope on your ratchet strap. And you can find that here at etrailer.
Now I'm going to go ahead and do the same thing up front, but I'm going to do it a little bit differently. Pretty much the only reason why I'm doing it differently, I have a little bit different hookup in the front. I'm going to use this little loop. Just put it through there. I have plenty of strap to be able to go all the way to the other side, which is nice. And I'm not hooking the double J's to the four-wheeler even though they wouldn't damage it. But one thing I do like about the coating on the double J hooks, this is going to help it resist against rust and corrosion. For example, this trailer was sitting out last night. Didn't rain, but if it did rain, we wouldn't have to worry about it. I have a lot of ratchet straps and a lot of them live outside sometimes. These, you really don't have to worry about them rusting away over time. So you get a couple of different seasons out of them, which is definitely a plus. Definitely enjoying the rubber coated handle. And I always like to look at the ratchet mechanism itself and it is definitely plated. So it's going to be a little bit stronger than just your basic steel, so that again is going to help resist against rust and corrosion over time. And it all in all, this strap is extremely tough. It's going to have around 2000 pounds of brake strength. With the four-wheeler that we have here, it's about 600 pounds. These are going to have a working load limit of 660 pounds, and we have two of them. So do the math. We have plenty to tie down this. Two would be pretty good for some of your guys' side-by-sides, some lawn equipment, but if you have maybe a bigger tractor or something like that, all you need to do is evaluate the weight of the equipment you're strapping down. Step one.Step two, take the working load limit of the straps, however many straps you plan on using, add the working load limit up and if that exceeds the weight of whatever equipment you're tying down, you're good. We have a lot of different straps here at etrailer. We have some that are bigger, some that are smaller, pretty much anything you guys need to tie down your stuff properly. That's something we really, really, really relay to you guys. We really want you to be hauling 100% properly. Everybody needs to stay safe on the road so we can go have fun or get some work done. Again, that was the Erickson Easy Ratchet Tie-down Straps with Release Levers.
