Rola Cargo Carrier Stretch Net Review

Video Transcript for Rola Cargo Carrier Stretch Net Review

Today we are going to show you part number 7330, this is a cargo carrier stretch net from Rola. As you can see we have it laying across a couple of boxes here to give you an overall idea of how it looks. We will go ahead and show you how it works and how good it is to go with a cargo carrier. We will start off with the hooks on the stretch net. As you can see they are made out of sturdy plastic and there are 20 of them. So if you have odd attachment points on your cargo carrier or what not, rest assured you will actually have one or two hooks left over so you can reach anywhere you need to. We will go ahead and hook up a few here to show how this stretch net can contain everything you have on your cargo carrier. You do not have to hook it up to the bar either, if you have a different kind of cargo carrier you may be able to just wrap it underneath and catch it, or just go straight down also. As you can see we tied down most of the hooks and you can see that the cargo is well secured and definitely not going to go anywhere. As you can see here, this stretch net is nice for a variety of applications. It is good for your average weekend warrior or lighter industrial applications. And it is not limited to just cargo carriers, it can be used to secure things in the back of your truck be as well. That does it for part # 7330, the stretch net from Draw-Tite

I just assembled the 8" hitch extender(80307) and the cargo carrier (24 x 60)(63153) and the hitch locking receivers(7683) and threw it on the Hummer H2. My God this this is huge, low wiggle as the hitches sometimes are, and got the cargo stretch net(7330) to top it off. I'm leery of plastic hooks but we will see on the net. I put some heavy stuff in the middle of the carrier and went out as the directions state, locked the stuff down with the cargo stretch net and took it out foe a spin with the wife driving behind me. She said it road very well with no shift. So with camping coming up we can't wait! 65408

Works great. Used it twice so far: Once on an odd load of individually placed items like gas cans, 1 gallon jugs, a back pack blower, weed whacker, etc - everything kept in its place. Second trip was to help hold down a large waterproof cargo carrier bag - worked great - kept the loose tie strings from the cargo bag from tossing in the wind while at the same time keeping the cargo stable. 94630

Hooks and mesh are always tangled, taking an extra 5 minutes to even get this thing sorted out before you can even use it. Also, I believe it has too many hooks. No matter what I put on my cargo carrier, I leave half the clips unhooked (no logical place to put them) while they flap in the wind. The only reason I'm keeping this is that I don't have a much better solution at the moment. 60046

I viewed your items online, got great help over the phone. Your representative made some good suggestions. Shipping was prompt, your computer kept me informed. Got quick telephone support when I thought items were missing... your rep explained that those particular items are placed inside the box of another item. Problem solved. You have an excellent system... with good ... people. 32421

flimsy plastic hooks I was a bit frustrated with this cargo net from the get-go. This net was difficult to untangle and when it came time to secure it over the load, I found that the platic hooks were too flimsy(bend/twist loose) under only moderate stress. I ended up resorting to bungee cords with plastic coated METAL hooks. 3289

The product was excellent for what I paid for. The shipment was fast and painless. Etrailer is the best company, as far as customer satisfaction is concerned. I am a returning customer, and yet I was treated as if I was a first time buyer. I am extremely pleased with this company, and I would say to anyone the same. 125444

This process was so easy! From the description on the website, to the quick and easy delivery, to the email notifications on product delivery, to the condition of the product, everything went smoothly. Our cargo carrier is sturdy and just as described. I wish all online purchases were as easy as those on etrailer.com 95445

I used the stretch net over the 24x60 cargo carrier this past week. The net worked well and kept our stuff in place. Just a little tricky to hook the plastic black hooks over the bottom of the carrier. Had to angle the tip of the hook to get it through the grate. Overall, I'd purchase the stretch net again. 45439

We purchased this net for use with the Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket 59504 and it worked great. It was easy to attach and so much easier than using a rope. We felt very confident that the load was secure and it the proof was "in the pudding" - we got home without losing a thing! 82093

We could not figure out how to make this attach to our cargo hitch, since it had a lot more hooks than our hitch had holes. Was not compatible with the model we bought, apparently. So my husband used ropes to secure our gear. 62441

  • Cargo Carrier Clearance From Rear Mounted Spare Tire On 2012 Jeep Wrangler
  • I did some research on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, and per the Jeep website, if you have a Class lll trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver, the tongue weight capacity for that hitch is 500 lbs. The weight capacity would include the cargo carrier weight along with anything that would be carried. The towing capacity for your Jeep Wrangler is 2000 lbs. If you have a Class lll hitch, one of the carriers I recommend is the 24x60 Pro Series Cargo Carrier, part # 63153. It features a 2-1/2 inch rise...

This is an easy bolt-on installation and requires no drilling. Complete hardware kit and installation instructions are included. When considering a folding cargo carrier, you will want to make sure you have enough clearance from the rear of the vehicle to allow the carrier to fold up. It would be easier to have the hitch installed before deciding...

The important factor to consider when using this cargo carrier on your vehicle is cargo carrier to bumper clearance. To find this clearance, we need to take one simple measurement. The Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18145, will fit a Class II 1-1/4 inch hitch, but the weight capacity of the carrier will be reduced from the 500 lbs to the tongue weight capacity of your Class II hitch which is normally 350 lbs. The cargo boxes we carry have even less height than the cargo bags. If the bread boxes you mentioned can be placed on their side then some of the bags may work out for you. I have attached a link to our product pages for cargo bags. An option you may wish to consider is to install a roof rack and an open-top cargo basket. It would mean...

  • Fit of Curt 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier on 2 Inch Receiver on Volvo XC70
  • The Curt 24x60 Cargo Carrier you referenced, part # C18153 should work just fine with your Volvo XC70. You can confirm this by taking a measurement on your hitch. Measure the distance from the hitch pin hole in the receiver rearward until the furthest rearward point of the back bumper is cleared. If this distance is LESS than 9 inches (which it should be), the carrier will work just fine for you. The carrier will also be able to fold when not in use. I've linked you to a help article...

  • Will Curt Cargo Carrier # C18153 Fit 2008 Saturn Outlook
  • When considering a cargo carrier on your 2008 Saturn Outlook you will want to take a couple of measurements to make sure the carrier will work for you. You can use a tape measure and a straight edge like a yardstick or a dowel. Hold the straight edge vertically against the bakc of your bumper making sure it extends below the hitch and measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the straight edge. this will give you the distance needed for clearance. The 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier,...

  • Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier That Fits 2 Inch Receiver Recommendation
  • We do have a carrier for a 2 inch receiver. It is the Pro Series Cargo Carrier, part # 6502. This carrier has the same dimensions as the # 6500 but designed for 2 inch hitches. The # 6502 also has a 500 lb weight capacity versus the 300 lb capacity of the # 6500. You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the maximum tongue weight capacity of your vehicle. If you need a lock for your receiver I recommend part # 7683. This lock...

  • Hitch And Cargo Carrier Recommendation For 2010 Ford Escape
  • When choosing a hitch for your 2010 Ford Escape, I recommend installing a Class lll hitch, like the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13650. This hitch has a 2 inch receiver opening which gives you more options when using any hitch-mounted accessories. Most hitch mounted cargo carriers will not require a ball mount or hitch ball. They will install in the receiver opening of the hitch. If at a later time you wish to tow something, you can check out a ball mount like part # 2923. This gives...

  • Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2007 Buick Terraza with 1-1/4 inch Hitch
  • Your best option would be to go with a fixed carrier designed specifically for your 1-1/4 inch hitch. When you use a hitch adapter you end up cutting the capacity of the hitch in half due to the increased leverage that would get put on the hitch. Since most 1-1/4 inch hitches already have a pretty low capacity this would not be an ideal route for you. For a fixed carrier that would fit your hitch I would go with the Pro Series 20x47 inch Cargo Carrier part # 63155. You might also be...

  • Folding Cargo Carrier And Cargo Bag For 2014 Toyota 4Runner
  • The first thing you will want to do is measure to see how much clearance you have at the rear of your 2014 Toyota 4Runner. I have attached a helpful article that shows you how to take this measurement. The article says it is for bike racks but the same principal applies for hitch-mounted carriers. I recommend the Surco Cargo Carrier, part # 52018F. This carrier fits 2 inch hitch receivers and measures 24 X 60, which is one of the largest cargo carriers we offer. This carrier has a shank...

  • Clearance From Exhaust For Cargo Carrier On 2014 Chevrolet Equinox
  • When carrying any cargo on the rear of your vehicle you will want a minimum of 12 inches clearance from the exhaust. It is a good idea to deflect the exhaust on your 2014 Chevrolet Equinox away from the carrier or the cargo in the carrier. I have attached a link to the turndown exhaust tips we offer. You will want to measure the diameter of the exhaust tip on your Equinox and then choose the size and length from the menus on the left of the attached page. The hitch I recommend for your...
