Layout of Husky Shield paint protectors on Toyota Tacoma

Note: The glowing outlines in the image above show how the included guards are formed and where they will install on your Toyota Tacoma. Your Toyota Tacoma should resemble the one pictured above.

Protect your Toyota Tacoma from scratches, chips and bug guts without affecting its sleek style. Husky Shield guards stick directly to your car's surface and are virtually invisible. The clear urethane film is super durable and will not crack, shrink or yellow. It's also breathable, allowing your paint to age naturally beneath it so that you won't have faded or mismatched areas.

Installation

Note: It is recommended that you thoroughly wash your car before beginning the installation process so that no dirt or debris will be trapped beneath the shields. The installation kit includes a block of prep putty. Use this to remove anything that washing may have missed.

Hood Guard

Husky Shield Installation

After cleaning your car, apply the included solution to the hood, to your hands and to the hood protector film. This solution not only lets you easily position the guard on your car's surface, but it also keeps the film free from fingerprints and other contaminants. The film must remain wet throughout the installation process to ensure proper placement.

Once you have the protector in place on your hood, set the film by squeegeeing out the solution. Make sure that the outside of the film remains saturated during this process so that the included application card can slide smoothly along its surface. If you are not happy with the position of the film, gently peel it back while wetting the adhesive side with additional solution, and reset.

The Husky Shield hood guard offers superior protection from bug stains and paint chips. It ensures that your paint job will remain unaffected by debris, providing a durable barrier between the surface of your car and all the bugs, rocks and rubbish that head your way.

Door-Edge Guards

The included door guards install on the outer edges of your car doors. These protectors do not require any solution for installation. Instead, wet them with water so that they, like the other guards, can slide for simple and precise positioning. These pieces are designed to fold over the edges of your car doors to provide protection from the scuffs and nicks that occur from everyday wear and tear.
