Today, we're going to review part number YR87155. This is the Husky Self-Centering Keel Roller. It's a 12-inch shaft and it is amber in color. This keel roller will replace your standard rubber keel roller on your boat trailer. The nice thing about this one, it will help in loading and unloading of the boat. It has a self-centering design.
That's what these grooves are for and, basically, what that would mean is that the the keel of your boat would be off center on the roller. And as it rolls onto the trailer, it would get into one of the grooves. And as you roll it, your keel will just go right to the center using those grooves. It will also support the bottom of the boat as it sits on the trailer and it will help to absorb the road shock while the boat is being towed. This keel roller is constructed of an amber color polyvinyl.
It is a non-marking and non-scratching material, and it is UV and chemical resistant. A couple of measurements on this, the length is 12 inches, and then we'll do the width on the end, which is going to be 2-3/4 of an inch. And this will fit on a 5/8-inch diameter shaft, and I'll just do that measurement real quick for you, 5/8 inch. And that will do it for part number YR87155.

Purchased along with items 408300, 408400, 408600 Everything fit great together and is solid, but the bracket hangs a little low on the trailer. The trailer is a 1994 Tracker roller trailer with a 17' aluminum boat. The materials seem like they will last a long time and all are well constructed. I still have to try it at the boat launch to see how well it actually works.74378
