Lighted guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and safer to transport it at night. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.
Note: Check with your state Department of Transportation for restrictions regarding maximum trailer width.
When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 60" tall guideposts that are mounted at the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you two highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The built-in LED lights on the posts stand out at night, making it easier for you to load your boat in the dark and for other drivers to see your trailer when you're on the road. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between them correctly matches the width of your boat.
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mm and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

Installation was a breeze, the quality is there, and will greatly aid in the loading of the boat onto the trailer. Installing the LED trailer lights at the present time and other than drilling a few small holes the installation is very simple, and don't have to worry about blown bulbs when backing into the water, and they seem to be brighter than usual bulbs. Second time I have dealt with etrailer and will do so in the future for any trailering needs.82540

Was really looking forward to installing these guide due to the problems incurred in backing up a trailer with no boat on the trailer. At daylight the guides give great visibility. At night, the lights give exact positioning when loading the boat at night. Less time spent loading your boat and fighting mosquitoes. Fast installation with "clear" instructions. 90118
