Now, in this position, we usually are able to get our hatch open. If you have somebody to help you, you can always have them hold on to the hatch, and then get items out, as you need them.

Its going to keep a lot of the shaking movement out of the bike as you're heading down the road, so you won't cause damage to your bike rack or vehicle. So to remove those you're just going to pull down and lift up . And we're going to save that anti-sway strap for last. Then we can pull our bike off the rack and set it off to the side.

First thing you're going to want to do is make sure that you have the strap undone from the little T slot, that way it can easily receive your bar. Next, place it up on top the vehicle and line up that front pad with your front crossbar, then you can simply slide the back one down and into place where you need it. Go ahead and set it down and adjust it as needed. Let's attach the front one first.

First step you're going to do is make sure that you have the top unlocked and the strap dropped down and out. Now if you open up this, you'll be able to open up that bottom door too, and have access to where the strap goes.

That'll give us access to this little lever here which will allow the bottom clamp to come around and undo so we can get around that front crossbar. On the backside here, this one simply just slides on. If you can see the groove there it'll slide on to that bolt and allow us to clamp it on that way.

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna

Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Kuat NV aluminum platform 2 bike rack for 2 inch hitch, part number N101. We'll start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch, lining up the pinholes, sliding in the pin, and securing it with a clip. At the back of the shank, there is a black knob. We turn this knob to engage the anti-rattle device. With the rack installed in this position, we have about 8 inches of ground clearance. The nearest point of the rack to the van is pretty close at about 1 inch away, and we've added about 16 inches of overall length to our Toyota. Okay, now we can lower the rack to its lowered position.

Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Toyota Sienna

Today on our 2014 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Stickup two bike hitch mounted folding rack with wheel mount cradles for one and a quarter and two inch hitches part number Y02420. We'll start by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch, lining up the pin holes, threading in the anti rattle bolt, tightening it down with the wrench, and securing it with the lock on the other side. With the rack installed, we have roughly eight and a half inches of ground clearance. The nearest point is pretty close at about inch away from the van and there is about thirteen inches overall added length to our Toyota. At the center of the mast we can go ahead and pull down the knob. This will lay the rack down and gives full access to the back of our van. With the rack in its folded down position, we have about nineteen inches of ground clearance at the rear, distance from the rack to the van is roughly two inches at its closest point and we've added about thirty inches additional length to our Sienna. Now we can go ahead and get ready to load our bike. The first step is to go ahead and pull the knob and stand the mast straight up.

Toyota Sienna Bike Rack Questions

  • I can help you find the best bike rack for your family's bikes on your 2016 Sienna. First thing we know about the 2 inch Curt Hitch # C13105 is that the clearance from the center of the pin hole to the edge of the bumper is 4-1/2 inches. This will come in handy when selecting the best rack for you. Between the two Thule 5-bike racks, I would recommend the Thule Apex # TH9026 over the Vertex # TH9030XT because of the distance between the bike racks arms being 12-1/4, which...

  • The only bike rack we have that will accommodate a trike as well as a two wheeled bike is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450R-TRKADP2. This hitch mount bike rack will hold one trike and one two wheel bike. The maximum trike track width this carrier will hold is 36 inches. The weight capacity of this bike rack is 100 pounds. It has a built-in anti-rattle device, with an easy-to-access handle on the front of the carrier. This rack also comes with an 8 foot cable lock to...

  • Yes, the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Platform 4 Bike Rack with Cargo Carrier, # HR1400-85, will fit on your 2015 Toyota Sienna as long as it is equipped with a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. Please keep in mind that you will be bound by the component with the least weight capacity so before loading up and getting ready to go, we will want to determine each component's capacities. Bike Rack = 45 lbs per bike. Cargo Basket = 220 lbs when used alone or 90 lbs with bike...

  • The Let's Go Aero VeeMe V2 2-Bike Rack # VME-V2 can carry bikes with fenders. If possible you would want the strap to go between the fender and the tire, but it could also go over the fender. The Highland Sportwing is no longer available. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well.

  • We may have a solution for you, but we do not offer any bike carriers that can handle the weight of the bikes you said you need to carry. I recommend a Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, part # Y08107. This trailer can accommodate the bikes you mentioned with no problem and keep your Sienna rear cargo area available. This trailer has a weight capacity of 250 lbs, and the crossbars can be adjusted from a 4 inch to 48 inch spread. The bike rack I recommend for the recumbent bike...

  • The Thule Hitching Post Pro bike carrier # TH934XTR does fit both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch trailer hitches using the included sleeve that fits on the bike carrier shank. With the adapter sleeve on it fits 2 inch hitches. If given the option of a 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitch I always recommend the 2 inch hitch. A 2 inch trailer hitch is going to be sturdier and have more accessory options than 1-1/4 inch hitches. And since this carrier has a threaded hitch bolt to limit movement...

  • Beginning with a hitch, I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # C13105. I'll link you to installation instructions and an install video showing the hitch being installed on a 2013 Sienna. The procedure for your 2014 model would be almost identical. For a bike rack, I've got an alternative suggestion for you. Take a look at the Softride Dura Parallelogram, part # SR26247. The Dura tilts away from the vehicle, allowing your rear hatch to fully open, as you can see in the product...

  • The main practical differences between the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 # HR1000R and the Swagman XC-Extended Platform Rack # S64650-EXT are the maximum bike wheelbase that will fit (74-inches for the Sport Rider versus 66-inches) and the bike weight capacity (45-lbs for the Sport Rider 2 versus only 35-lbs for the Swagman). Another feature that favors the Sport Rider 2 is the 5-inches of rise on the rack's shank; this means better ground clearance with less chance of the rack...

  • It is easy to check if the ProSeries Q-Slot Platform 2/4 Bike Rack # PS63138 will fit the hitch on your 2014 Toyota Sienna. • Bike racks come in different styles from roof rack mounted carriers, to truck/hatch mount, and of course trailer hitch mount carriers. The safest way to carry bikes on a vehicle is with a hitch mounted carrier. For that you would need a hitch for your 2014 Toyota Sienna such as # C13105. Using a hitch mounted carrier will also keep the bike and the carrier itself off of the vehicle unlike a roof or trunk mount. And to be able to access the rear hatch without having to remove...

  • A 16 inch bike is small and the best option as far as a bike rack is going to be a platform style rack like # HR1400. A hanging bike rack wouldn't fit the small frame even with an adapter bar. You will need to add Kids Bike Wheel Hoop Adapters, # HRSW-ADP-2, in order to carry the 16 inch bike in the rack. The adapters will prevent the tires on the bike from going too far into the hoops on the rack. I have linked a video review and the instructions for you for the bike rack....
