Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Racks Installation - 2020 Toyota Highlander

Hi, Matt with etrailer and today we're talking about the Rhino-Rack ski and snowboard carrier on top of our 2020 Toyota Highlander. Now this is a great option for you if you're looking for something just to get your skis from point A to point B, so let's take a close look at it. They're gonna have these big buttons on 'em, which you can just press with your palm and they open right up, which is great if you have those thicker gloves or mittens on. And now to access my ski, I'm actually going to step inside my vehicle 'cause that is a far reach. Just keep in mind if it's snowy outside, be careful because you could slip and fall. Now that I have my skis, I can go take them and hit the slopes.

Yakima Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2017 Toyota Highlander

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FatCat EVO Four Ski and Snowboard Carrier here on our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Now, this style of carrier is gonna hold it between these two arms on the roof. Now, to open these, we've got these nice large buttons, easy to hit with the palm of my hand, so if I've got gloves, mittens on, it's gonna be easy to open. And our gear is going to be held in between these two arms like we said, in with these very large rubber pads. These are gonna keep things tightly gripped down, nice and secure, but also protect them. It's gonna be a really good amount of push in there, so none of our equipment's gonna get damaged.

Yakima Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2017 Toyota Highlander

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FreshTrack Ski and Snowboard Carrier here on our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Now, this style of carrier is going to hold it on your roof and in between these two arms with these very thick rubber pads. Those rubber pads are going to keep things nice and well gripped as well as cushioned and protected, so all of our gear's gonna be nice and safe up there, it's gonna hold it really well going down the road, and overall, be a great way of carrying that kind of long gear that might otherwise be hard to put in the car. Now, one thing I really like about this Yakima one is the very large buttons. This makes it really easy to open up, especially if you've got something like mittens on, you just hit it with the palm of your hand, and it goes up like that. They're spring loaded, so they stay open, and I can just grab my gear, take it off the rack, and set it aside.

Inno Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2017 Toyota Highlander

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier here on our 2017 Toyota Highlander. Now this style of ski and snowboard carrier is going to hold it up here on the roof, out in the open in these clamps. These are gonna be rubber padded so it's going to give the gear some good grip and it's going to be a large amount of cushioning, keeping everything up here nice and safe, nice and tight. Now with this, it is a little bit difficult to reach up in there with the style of this factory roof rack. We have to set the gear in a little bit so you probably will need to open your door, step up in there with your boots to actually access everything.

Thule Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Highlander

AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be checking out the Thule Snow Sport, Snowboard, and Ski Carrier on our 2016, Toyota Highlander. I'm going to hop up there and get right to it. It's going to be a great way to carry your snowboards and your skis, obviously, on the roof of your vehicle, that way you're not putting them in the vehicle. They're not taking up space, it gives more room for your passengers on the inside, on your way to the slopes or back. It's going to hold them nice with this rubber insert here, so it's not going to damage the skis or snowboards at all.

Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2015 Toyota Highlander

Today on our 2015 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number RR573. Now this can carry up to three skis or two snowboards. We already have the front one installed, and how these install, is they just wrap around your crossbars like so and they clamp in place with these two screws. I'll go ahead and show you how the rear one goes on. We already have it partially assembled here. We'll set it on our roof rack, like so, and then I'll get the two additional screws, and then we'll wrap it around, insert the two screws up at the top here, and start to tighten it down. Just loosely until it gets into the bracket.

RockyMounts Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2010 Toyota Highlander

Now we already have the front half of our carrier in place and secure so we're just going to show you the back half. First thing we're going to do is just place it onto our crossbars and slide those along. We want our front and back to line up and then we'll open up the carrier, take the little strap, and set it in place around the back in the slot there. With that in place we can kind of even out the carrier and make sure that stays in place. Now we've got a spot here for the bolt and we'll just use the included tool and tighten that down.

With the factory roof rack already installed on our Highlander, we'll begin our test fit by grabbing the front half of our carrier. We'll place it directly onto our load bar. We'll bring our rubber-coated metal strap around our load bar and place it under the foot of the carrier. We'll then secure it by closing our buckle.

Whispbar Roof Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2005 Toyota Highlander

With a factory roof rack already on our Highlander, we'll begin the test fit by grabbing the front half of our carrier, placing it directly onto our front load bar. We will bring the black rubber-coated metal straps around our load bar, fitting it back into the foot of the carrier. We'll now open our upper jaw, lift the black lever inside, allowing the gray catch to move upward. We'll then close the black buckle that we fitted into the foot of the carrier, then tighten down the lever that we lifted up inside to secure the buckle with that gray catch. We'll then move to the passenger's side and repeat that same process.
