It is padded, so your bike will not get scratched up once it's installed. We also have these adjustable wheel cradles here you turn to the left to loosen them up, and then move along the arms freely to accommodate different size bikes and to assist with loading. We also have this nice raised shank here, so when you do have hitches that sit a little bit lower to the ground you're not going to have clearance issues between the bike rack itself and the ground.

With that we have access to our rear hatch to get whatever we need with plenty of space on either side to do so. To put it back in it's original position simply lift up, you hear that click and it's locked back into place. Now some other features of this bike rack it does have an integrated cable lock here at the top of the wheel hook, just pull it up and around the bike and attach it to this point on the other side, lock it into place and your bike is secure on the rack.

Nissan Murano Bike Rack Questions

  • Hidden Hitch trailer hitch # 75952 is one of the hitches that will fit your 2015 Nissan Murano. When installed we found that the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear of the vehicle is 4-1/4 inches, see video link. The Kuat NV # NV22G measures 7 inches from the pin hole to the nearest part of the rack when folded up so it will clear the rear of the Murano easily. Given that there is ample clearance with this rack I recommend it. The Sherpa...

Two of these 2-bike racks include locks to both secure the rack to your Murano and your loaded bikes to the rack. These carriers are the Archway XT # TH9009XT and the outstanding Raceway 2 # TH9001PRO, which is among the most user-friendly trunk racks on the market. The Raceway 2 uses vinyl-coated steel...

  • From my research, I've found that on the 2015 Murano, the back up camera is located just above the license plate. The rack will block the camera to some extent, but there would be enough distance between the camera and the rack that you should still have a pretty good field of vision. Given the location of the camera, most bike racks would interfere to some degree but I believe we offer a rack that would work pretty well for you. The Kuat Transfer, part # TS02G doesn't have...

  • You'll need to use a hitch mounted bike rack, as there aren't any trunk mount bike racks that are compatible with your Murano. For a hitch, I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # 13577. For a bike rack, Swagman offers the reasonably priced yet well equipped Trailhead which is available in a 2 bike model # S63360, 3 bike model # S63365 or 4 bike model, as part # S63380. The racks include an anti rattle hitch bolt, but I'd recommend adding a locking hitch bolt/cable lock...
