First impressions, I think it looks pretty good actually on the back of the Sorento. You know, this is a mid-size carrier, and being that the Sorento is a mid-size SUV, kind of just makes sense you know, it doesn't look funny or way too big or too small. It's going to be a decent enough size to carry around quite a bit of extra stuff. So, if you're going on that vacation or that road trip, you need a little extra breathing room on the inside, you know, you can take some of your stuff, pile it up out here, or it'll even, you know, these come in handy whenever you carry stuff you don't really want to put inside your car, you know, coolers, you know, you're doing stuff around the house, maybe getting some bags of mulch, things like that.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima Off Grid Roof Top Cargo Basket with the extension. That part number is Y07138-08. If you wish to have this cargo basket without the usage, then you can purchase that under part number Y07138.Now, the extension is going to add about 18" to the length of your basket, taking it from 44" to 62". The width with the extension and without it is going to be 40".Now, we have four different points where it mounts to our roof top, or to our roof rack, excuse me. We have four rubber coated steel straps that are gonna provide a nice, secure feature to our cargo basket. I'll show you how to install this last one real quick.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Kia Sorento

Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 x 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both inch and 1/4 and 2 inch hitches and has a 300 pound weight capacity though it is on the lighter end of our cargo carrier. It's very easy to insert into our hitch and lift any time we need to move it. First thing we're going to do while it's on our vehicle is take a few measurements. Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we've got the MaxxTow Aluminum Cargo Carrier. We're doing a test fit on it to see exactly how it fits behind the vehicle here. This cargo carrier, it's been designed for use with two inch hitches and offers a 500 pound weight capacity. It measures 21 by 48, and the part number on it is MT70422. The 500 pound weight capacity is going to come from this main steel shank that runs all the way through. That's where we get all that good capacity, even with it being an aluminum cargo carrier, which is very light and very easy to load up.

Today, on our 2016 Kia Sorrento, we're going to take a look at the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier is been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we've gotten out the Let's Go Arrow Gear Cage and we're testing it to see how it shapes up against the back of the vehicle. This cargo carrier it's going to measure 32 inches by 48 inches. It's been designed for use with 2 inch hitches, offers a 300 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is gonna be HCR222. You see this carrier has a solid floor. That's something we don't see in a lot of carriers. I think it's nice if you're going to be transporting smaller things or things that you don't want maybe to fall through one of those openings and get scratched and stuff like that. It's got a raised edge all the way around the outside.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Kia Sorento

Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento we've got the Curt 20 x 60 folding cargo carrier out. We're testing it to see how it stacks up against the rear of the vehicle. This carrier's been designed for use in 2" hitches. It's going to offer us a 500 lb. Weight capacity. Part number on it is C18151. You can see here the carrier has what would be a medium-size expanded steel.

Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento we've got out the Curt Folding 24x60 Cargo Carrier. We're testing it, seeing what kind of room we've got. This carrier's designed for use in 2 inch hitches, it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number it is C18153. See, what I really like about the carrier, it's ability to fold up against the rear of the car. That's really going to reduce how much that we've added to the back of the vehicle. In this position we're going to have added about 12 and 1/2 inches to the rear of our Sorento.
