Buick Enclave Cargo Carriers Questions

  • I checked with Thule and they list the Thule Force L part # TH628 as a confirmed fit for the factory crossbars of your 2016 Buick Enclave. Most likely this would allow you to open the rear hatch without issue, but you can take one simple measurement to know for sure. Slide the front crossbar all the way forward and measure from it's center to the hatch seam. If that distance is greater than 47-1/2 inches the hatch would open with this cargo box without any interference.

  • As long as you have hitch installed on your 2016 Buick Enclave like the Draw Tite part # 75528 you could use an enclosed cargo carrier. If rear cargo area access is important I would recommend you go with the Rola swinging cargo carrier part # 59109 as it can swing out and away from the rear of your vehicle to give you complete cargo area access. For an anti-rattle hitch lock the part # 63232 would be a great option as well.

  • The Thule Sonic XXL cargo box # TH636S will fit the factory roof rack on your 2014 Buick Enclave. To make sure there is no interference with an antenna or the rear hatch you will need to take one measurement. First, if you can move the crossbars on your Enclave, move the front bar as far forward as it will go. Then measure from the center of the bar straight back to the nearest potential obstruction or, if there are no obstructions, to the seam between the top of the hatch...

  • As long as you have a hitch with a 2 inch opening like the Curt hitch part # 13424 yes, the Thule Transporter Combi Hitch Mounted Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH665C that you referenced would work well on your 2014 Buick Enclave. The hitch and carrier recommendation I just mentioned would work well and would give you enough clearance. If you instead had a Draw Tite Hitch # 75528 you would only have about a 1/2 inch of clearance between the bumper and the upright mast of the carrier...

  • According to Thule, the Force XXL Cargo Box, # TH626, will fit on your 2013 Buick Enclave with the factory roof rack, but due to the size of the cargo box, it will interfere with your ability to fully open your rear hatch. The largest Thule cargo box that will fit on your Enclave without interfering with your rear hatch are their XL cargo boxes like the Force XL, # TH625. In addition to the cargo box, I recommend picking up the Thule Step Up Wheel Step, # TH232. This will...

  • As far as weight aluminum cargo carriers will be much lighter than steel ones of the same size. I recommend going with an aluminum carrier for this reason and because they are corrosion resistant. We have 2 aluminum cargo carriers and they are both rated for 500 pounds. Curt cargo carrier # C18100 is 19 inches front to back and 60 inches wide. It weighs about 30 pounds. It can also fold up. When in the folded up position it measures 5 inches from the center of the pin hole...

  • Both the Rola Cargo Carrier # 59502 and the Pro Series Cargo Carrier part # 63153 that you referenced would be an excellent choice. The biggest advantage I see for the Pro Series is weight. This carrier weighs 59 lbs whereas the Rola weighs 73 lbs. If the additional weight, price and slightly smaller interior dimensions aren't a problem for you I would go with the Rola. If you don't mind the less appealing looks of the Pro Series I would go with it since from a function point...

  • The Thule Transporter Combi Hitch Mounted Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH665C that you referenced should work very well on your 2012 Buick Enclave as long as you have a hitch installed on your vehicle. If you do not have a hitch I would recommend you go with a Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75528. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch opening that would work very well for you. The trailer hitches we've installed on the Enclave required 5 inches of distance between the center of the hitch pin hole and the closest part of the carrier in order to clear the bumper. The # M2200-01-02 offers only 4 inches, meaning it would not work on your vehicle. Instead, the Carpod Walled, Folding...
