Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg-Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is CC-100. Now this is designed to work with 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do here while it's installed on our vehicle is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, it's going to be about 9-1/4".

Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, we're doing a test fit of the Curt folding 20 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. Now, this is designed to work with 2-inch hitches only and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. First thing we're going to do here while it's installed is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. Just underneath here, we're going to have about 11 1/4 inches.

Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to put into and take out of our hitch. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. To the bottom of this bolt here we're going to have about 14".

Today on this 2012 Toyota Highlander, we're going to do a test fit of the Max Tow Cargo Carrier, part number NT70422. The inside dimensions of our cargo carrier are going to be 48 x 21". Now let's go take a closer look at the construction of it. The body where your cargo resides in is going to be all aluminum construction, the shank in the middle is going to be all steel with a protective black finish on top. Going into your hitch, it also includes a pin and clip hold into your hitch. To help hold your cargo down there are four holes in each corner, one in each corner to help hold down your cargo.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, we'll be test fitting the Curt 24-inch by 60-inch Folding Cargo Carrier, part number C18132. To mount the carrier to our vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our hitch pin holes and then secure the carrier with a pen and clip. Next, we'll go over a handful of clearance measurements while we have the carrier folded upright. We've got about 12 inches of ground clearance from the joint of the bike rack. We've got about 2-1/2 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the when folded up.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20-inch by 60-inch Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number C18100. To mount our carrier to the vehicle, we'll insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Line up the hitch pin holes and then secure with a pen and clip. Next, we'll go over a couple of clearance measurements while we still have the carrier folded up. We've got about 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the joint. We've got about 3 inches of clearance from the closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier when it's folded up, and overall we've added about 9 inches of length to the rear of the vehicle with the cargo carrier folded up.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Highlander well be test fitting the Curt 20 inch by 48 inch Cargo Carrier part number C18145. To mount our carrier to the vehicle well insert the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. Well line up our hitch pin holes, feed our anti rattle bolt through and tighten it down using a wrench. Next, well go over a handful of clearance measurements. Weve got about 12-1/2 inches of ground clearance at the back of the carrier and about 5-1/2 inches of space between the closest part of the carrier and the closest part of the vehicle. Weve got about 13 inches of clearance between the closest part of the carrier and our exhaust tip so keep this in mind when loading it up as you may experience some heat transfer.
