Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount with a 32,000-pound weight capacity. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. This is actually a very versatile ball mount with a lot of weight capacity, but both a very heavy ball mount. So some people call this the one stop shop hitch ball mount and that's because it has stacked receivers.

Andersen EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch Installation - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 4 inch lift kit we're going to do a review and install of the Andersen Hitches EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch with Combo Ball part number AM3298. Here we have our nice heavy duty solid portion of the shank with the black powder coating. This is a 2 inch by 2 inch shank. It will fit your standard class 3 and 4 inch hitches that have a 2 inch by 2 inch opening or in this case where you have a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch opening and inside is a sleeve. It will also work with these applications. We'll simply slide the shank into the sleeve then aligning the shank and sleeve up with the hitch pre drilled hole so that we can reinstall our pin and clip. Here we have our combination ball.

Draw-Tite Ball Mount Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test fitting the Draw-Tite ball mount with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop, rated at 7500 lbs., part number 2923. Now before we begin our test fit, we will first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube, and our measurement is 18". Note that the ride height of your vehicle may vary due to tire size, hitch style, or some after-market accessories. We'll now begin our test fit by sliding the ball mount into the opening of the hitch in the drop position. We'll line up the holes and secure it with a pin and clip.
