Today were going to take a look at our Tow Ready 2 inch diameter hitch ball with medium shank, number 19247. This is a trailer hitch ball with a 2 inch head. Corrosion and rust resistant. The 2 inch size is our most popular size. Take a look at some of the measurements here. The length of the shank is 2 1/8 inch.
The diameter of the shank is 1 inch. Has a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds. The nut is a 1 inch nut with a torque rating of 250 foot pounds. Now, when youre ready to install this, well bring our ball mount and 2 inch trailer hitch out. This is a inch thick draw bar.
This hitch ball is good for draw bars from inch to 1 inch. Slide that in there and we have our wrench flats right here so when youre installing this, you can secure it with your wrench and it will stay steady when youre screwing the nut on. To attach this you put the washer on first and then finger tighten the nut. And, then youll tighten the rest of the way with a wrench, and youre ready for towing. Once again, this was the Tow Ready 2 inch diameter hitch ball with medium shank, number 19247..

It's a towing ball. Not a lot to it. I will say it was a pain to find tools large enough to tighten it down properly. Ended up going to Sears and got the tools. You could probably go to your nearest U-Haul and ask them to tighten it for you. I was lazy so I went to three stores searching for tools large enough instead...47223
