Today we are going to show you a 2 inch diameter hitch ball from Tow Ready part number 19258. This hitch ball has a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight capacity. The diameter of the ball itself is 2 inches, so it will work with all 2 inch trailer couplers. The shank on the ball is ¾ inch diameter and it is 1 and 9/16th inches long. It will work on draw bars that have a platform thickness of 3/8th inches to 5/8th inches. 0:34

On the top of the ball, you will see three numbers stamped or engraved. At the bottom you will see the weight capacity which is 3,500 pounds. Right there in the center you will see a number 2, which indicates it is a 2 inch size ball. You can use this ball on ball mounts that a 3-quarter inch shank diameter like this one. If it is nice and snug inside the hole, then it does not have much movement. Then you place the lock washer over it and finally the nut. Then you can use a vice and a wrench to tighten this up. The short shank of this ball is great for an ATV going to off road because it give more ground clearance, so it’s less likely to hang in stumps or rocks in the forest. I use it with my LogRite ATV Arch, with my wood splitter, and for transporting maple water to my sugar house to produce maple syrup. 41297
