Today we're reviewing part number C40041. This is the Curt Trailer Hitch Ball with a 2-5/16" diameter and a medium shank. The towing capacity is 30,000 lbs. This hitch ball has a raw machine finish, and it does include your wrench flats to help you with your installation. The shank measures (see if we can do it this way, here we go) 2-5/8" in length, and 1-1/4" in diameter. This fits draw bars from 3/4" to 1" thick.
It comes with a lock washer and a 1-7/8" nut. And that is pretty much it for part number C40041, the Curt Trailer Hitch Ball with a 2-5/16" diameter and a medium shank.

Very nice hitch ball. If I had it to do over again, I would probably get the chrome ball...as this one has no protection against rusting. But, I have given it a good coat of black paint....which will help.27920

I have tried to locate this exact hitch ball for several weeks. It just wasn't locally available. I own a bus and pull a 30' long, 14' high, stacker trailer that weighs in at 24,000 pounds. This well built and very heavy duty machine finished hitch ball is exactly what I need. I was able to easily find it on etrailer's web site. 25969
