• I went out to the warehouse to measure a Pintle Hook Combo 2-5/16 Inch Ball with 2 Inch Shank, # TR63042. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole is 11-3/4 inches. There is actually another alternative. For a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver, you can use a ball mount with an extra long shank. Several of these are actually longer than the TR63042. • What I recommend is using the Trailer Coupler Towing Lock, # 63238. This lock fits on a 3 inch wide ball mount platform and has a 1 inch diameter hole for the ball shank. You can use ball # 63853.
