Today on our 2006 Cadillac Escalade well be test fitting the Hidden Hitch ball mount with four and three quarter inch rise or six inch drop, rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 80240. To begin our test fit well first need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this well measure from the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground. On this truck that measurement is 15 inches. Keep in mind that this measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style or any other accessory that may change your vehicles ride height, so its a good idea to measure yours. Well now slide our draw bar into the hitch, lining up the hitch pin holes where we can then install our hitch pin.
Well put the clip on the other side of the pin, securing the ball mount to vehicle in the drop position. In the drop position, from the top of the ball mount platform measures 9 inches. We can now go ahead and remove the ball mount and reinstall it in the rise position. In the rise position, from the top of the ball mount platform to the ground measures 19 inches. That will do it for the Hidden Hitch ball mount with four and three quarter inch rise or six inch drop, rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 80240 on our 2006 Cadillac Escalade..

Why wasn't the pin included to connect the mount to the hitch?75606
There is a pull down menu where you can a standard pin and clip or a locking pin to go with this ball mount. You have to make that ion before you add the product to your cart.

It's a trailer hitch! Looks like it's gonna work fine. I'll find out next week :-) The one part of the product that required a humans touch however was not perfect. No big deal, just sad that a human can put a sticker on properly even when paid to do so. All good though, I already took it off! Thanks, Michael38621
