This is the Self-Locking Aluminum Ball Mount from Diversi-Tech, part number DTLBM8600. Diversi-Tech Ball Mounts are made from aircraft grade billet aluminum, meaning the ball mount is machined from a solid block of aluminum. This ball mount has a 14,000 lbs trailer weight capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight capacity. When used in the position, this ball mount offers 6 inches, from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. When flipped over and used in the rise position, it offers 5 inches of rise, from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. Diversi-Tech also builds in stainless steel, spring-loaded, anti-rattle balls. These balls take out some of the noise created from the ball mount being inside of the receiver hitch. This model also has Diversi-Tech self-locking system. There is no need for a hitch pin with this ball mount. The hitch pins are built in to the ball mount itself. When you need to remove the ball mount you will take the key, turn the lock, and the pins will retract, allowing you to remove the ball mount from the hitch. This is a great security feature, as there is nothing sticking outside of the hitch for thieves to cut, and it is also convenient, because you will not need to remember a pin and clip or a separate ball mount lock.
