This is the Self-Locking Aluminum Ball Mount from Diversi-Tech, part number DTLBM8400. Diversi-Tech ball mounts are made from aircraft grade billet aluminum. They are machined from a solid block of aluminum. This ball mount has a 14,000 lbs gross trailer capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight capacity. When used in the position, it provides 4 inches of , from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. When used in the rise position, it offers 3 inches of rise, from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. Diversi-Tech builds in spring-loaded stainless steel anti-rattle balls. These balls help remove some of the noise created from the ball mount inside the receiver hitch. The self-locking system integrates a lock and the ball mounts own hitch pin into the ball mount itself. There is no need to remember a separate pin and clip or a locking hitch pin. When locked, the pins pop out of the ball mount and lock into the receiver on your vehicle. To remove the ball mount, take the included barrel key and using the key, the pins will retract, allowing you to remove the ball mount. This is a great security feature, as there is nothing hanging outside of the hitch for any potential thieves to cut, and it is also convenient, because you do not have to remember a separate pin or lock.
