Today were going to look at our Curt Multi Ball Adjustable Ball Mount for two-inch trailer hitches number D900. For your multiple towing needs this ball mount has an adjustable height, a 5 3/4 inch drop to a 5 3/4 inch rise, the adjustable height fits almost any application. The solid steel construction is very strong and durable. Folks, this is solid. It weighs in at about 44 pounds so it definitely has some heft to it. There are multiple balls to fit your various towing needs.
It has a welded steel construction with a chrome finish. Its really easy to change your ball here. It comes in three sizes, it comes in the 1 7/8, the 2 inch, and the 2 5/16 inches. Each ball has its own towing capacity and well get into that in just a second. Its really easy to lock that back into place; just match up your hole there, put the pin in, and lock that back up.
It can be used with a 5/8 diameter hitch lock, that is sold separately. It comes with a black gloss finish. Lets take a look at some of the specs, as I said earlier, it does fit a two-inch receiver, the maximum rise you would measure from the top of the bar that goes into the hitch receiver to the top of the hitch here. That is 5 3/4 inches. Flip this over to show the drop measure, again measure from the top of the receiver bar to the top of the ball mount.
That again is 5 3/4 inches. The length will be measured from the center of the ball to the center of the pinhole. That is 16 inches. Weigh capacity for each of the balls, 1 7/8 inch has a capacity of 6,000 pounds, the two-inch ball has a weight capacity of 7,500 pounds, and the 2 5/16 inch ball has a weight capacity of 10,000 pounds. This product does come with a limited seven year warranty.

Very happy with the fit and finish of the product. What I like most is the extra extension it allows for with out derating. My problem centered on tailgate clearence when in the open position. Tailgate would contact the edge of the tounge jack. This solved that problem plus now I don't need to carry seperate ball mounts for my boat or enclosed trailer32891

This is exactly what I need to go pick up a new trailer without knowing in advance how much drop or rise I'll need. If I decide to use it routinely I will first replace the pins with something that doesn't look inviting to a teenager, though.31563

The "durable powder coat" on this is a JOKE. This thing was chipped up just from shipping and will probably rust fast. Other than the obvious flaw in the coating, this item seems promising. It was pretty much what I was looking for. I haven't gotten to use it yet, I am sure it will function fine although rusty.30344

Received as advertised in a timely fashion. Only negative comment is that I had to take this ball mount to a welding shop and have the shank length cut back and pin position hole re-drilled. By the time you assemble this and mount to the coupler on the tow vehicle the ball location is way to far away from the vehicle and will cause an over amount of leverage. This could result in vehicle hitch failure. My suggestion is to have atleast two positioning holes in the shank so it can be adjusted to a desired length. Other than that this is a great alternative to caring around multiple size ball mounts. 24421

Great product to hook up my new RV and cargo trailer. My old receiver was not long enough an the rear camera could not pick it up. I was in the market for an extender tube but felt that hitch weight was being compromised . The length of this extends out into camera sight and can back up under the trailer hitch. The adjustability for other uses is icing on the cake. Very stout at 45+ lbs. 68662

This ball mount is very easy to use. Adjustment is simple and it has a wide adjustment range for rise or drop, making it useful on almost any vehicle. Having the 3 ball sizes on one mount is extremely convenient and saves the trouble of having to carry 2 or 3 different mounts around. The locking bolt works well to keep the adjustable mount tight once it is in position which helps eliminate any hitch rattle. 65595

George H. is correct--the "powder coating" is just silly and came off almost immediately. However, I have been using this this hitch for close to 2 years and it is the ultimate in convenience for both height and ball size differences between trailers. Note, my 2005 F-150 hitch receiver has two pin positions for length and at least for me, there's no issue with the hitch being too long. Who cares if the finish comes off, as long as your trailer is secure? Awesome product.38608

This hitch is exactly as stated. It is heavy and very long, but that is what I wanted. The ball rotates smoothly and the adjustment is easy. I absolutely have to remove it when not in use to avoid shin banging.29418

I wanted a heavy duty ball adjustable ball mount for my new HD pickup. I was very surprised at the weight and heft of the mount. The receiver bar and the bar the balls are mounted on are solid steel with the holes for adjustable positioning drilled out of the solid bars of steel. This makes for an extremely stout mount. UPS left it at the front door and my wife made one short attempt at lifting the box and left it there for me to retrieve when I got home. If you're looking for a heavy duty adjustable mount you will be very happy with this one. Just make sure you eat your Wheaties before picking it up. 25105
