Powered Tail Light Converter

Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. The tail light converter that is built into this harness combines the brake and turn signal functions of your car so that they run on one wire. As a result, your trailer's tail lights will activate properly.

In addition, the converter ensures that your trailer's lights are powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. By connecting to your car's battery with the included lead, the converter is able to pull power directly from the battery, thus bypassing the electrical routes used by a basic wiring harness. The result is a system that prevents damage to your car by guaranteeing that there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
