Today were gonna install part number 118149 from Tow Ready, the 4 Flat Universal Mounting Bracket.Whats gonna happen is our wires are gonna fit between the prongs right here. And with the Tow Ready wire harness, theres also a cutout for the cap as well. Lets take the two house and we snap them together and theres a couple of small screws to the holes to tighten it in place. And if your 4-Poles are still loose inside, theres a set screw right here that you can tighten down enough to make contact so it doesnt move. You dont have to crush it.Our mount uses zip ties to stay in place. You can mount your bracket anyway youd like on the crosstube of your hitch.
In this case, were gonna mount it like this. Well run our zip ties through and around the other side. Alright, once youre satisfied with the placement of your bracket, go ahead and tighten down the zip ties.Okay, and with that, that will finish it for our install of part number 118149 from Tow Ready.

Needs some adjustments for round hitch tubing. Screws hold two parts together at significant distance from the internal pressure point which makes it flimsy. The solution is to put another strip around front part of the bracket.79335

Just what I wanted, and worked ok even on my round tube hidden hitch setup. However the product was quite cheap - 3 of the 4 tabs broke off as I installed it and one of the zip ties broke in half as i took it out of packaging. It may have been the cold (was 35 degrees out) but i expect more.68658

This will do the job if you will be using it fairly infrequently. It doesn't install very sturdily. There is a snap type attachment between the two pieces, and since it is just a small piece of plastic it is likely to break over many uses. There is a set screw used to hold the connector in place relative to this surrounding enclosure. The tighter you make the set screw the more pressure it puts on the plastic pieces holding the snap attachment. This prevents you from make the connector very rigid, so it does feel a little flimsy. If I had to do it again I would use part 18144 with part 18140. I have a 2012 Sorento EX V6. I used Curt hitch receiver C13073 although I would have used a different hitch receiver with a square bar rather than round26867
