Today, we're going to review part number TH14933. This is the Thule Replacement Dual Force Strut for the Thule Mountaineer Cargo Box and Frontier Cargo Box. This is a replacement strut that will attach to the cargo box and assist you when opening the lid of the cargo box. The way this will attach is there are two hole openings right here and on your cargo box on the bottom of the box will be a ball socket that this will attach to, and on the lid of the cargo box, there will be a ball socket that this will snap into. When this is opened, when the lid is opened, it will spring open like that and then it takes some force to close it. When these are installed onto the ball sockets, it does take quite a bit of pressure to remove them and to insert them back on.
