Note: A minimum 13" extender trailer pin box is recommended. If using a slider, hitch will not adjust to lowest height setting.

When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be positioned on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, a slider may be used to move the fifth-wheel hitch and the trailer closer to your truck's tailgate and create enough space between your truck cab and the corner of your trailer to safely execute a slow-speed turn.

When you are making a 45-degree turn in a truck with a bed shorter than 8' and no slider, the corner of your fifth-wheel trailer may strike the back of your truck's cab.

By installing a slider with 10" of travel, you can eliminate the interference between trailer and truck cab in turns up to 80 degrees.

• If it is a Pro Series 15K hitch, you should be able to un-bolt the head from the fixed legs and then bolt it to this slider, part # RP30092. • I spoke with my contact at Reese and he said that the Reese 15K head # 30032 will fit into the Pro Series Fifth Wheel Slider, part # RP30092. He said as long as it is a Reese product the mounting dimensions will be the same on the Reese slider unit as it is on a Reese fixed leg hitch.
