Great Service and Selection for all things Winnebago.
Many thanks to David Straw for his professionalism and helping me find the correct part for my 20 year old motor home.

by:

Makes rewiring my trailer easy

by:

I've been extremely pleased with the Optronics branded products!

The right angle design allows the wiring to follow along the contours of the trailer without bending. The connector, wire and insulation are well make and very durable.

This item pairs well with the Optronics Trailer marker lights. They 'snap' into the lights to ensure a secure fit. The 6" leads provide enough length for my application.

I would buy again as they pair nicely with the Optronics lights!

Great! No Problems!

Greetings,

I really enjoy having
the trailer. We took a six day trip back in may of this year. It was great having all that room. We've also taken it on two or three day rides just in case we saw something at a craft shop or even a yard sale. Lol Each trip included a picnic lunch. I did modify the lighting on the trailer. I ride a 2014 Goldwing, and after the two, 5 to 4 wiring adapters failed I added two 3" LED turn signals near the top of the box. See photo. I may even add a third member brake/tail light to the lid rack bracket.

Thanks,

  • Two Wire Pigtail Replacement for Grote Trailer Tail Lights
Your picture looks like a Plug-and-Go type of connector at the end of the wire. We do not have a 2-wire pigtail that has that type of connector so you would need to hardwire in the new one instead of using the plug in. You mentioned it was a Grote brand harness. If you can find a part number on it I might be able to confirm if pigtail # A46PB is the correct replacement. We have it listed as a replacement for Grote # 67050.

  • Hole Depth Needed When Installing Optronics Pigtail # A46PB
Since the Optronics Two Wire Pigtail, part # A46PB can fit several different lights the thickness would vary depending on the light you are installing this with. I pulled one of the pigtails from our warehouse and took a measurement for you. The depth of the pigtail plug is .6 inches. I have included a photo that has the dimension noted on it. This pigtail will fit the following: Uni Bond # PT6020 Wesbar # 108662 Truck Lite # 94902 Grote # 67050 Peterson #142-49 Bargman # 40-00-002 I...

  • Recommended Round Trailer Marker Lights to Fit in 2-3/4 Mounting Hole
The # MC56RB you were looking at is designed to fit in a 2-3/4" diameter hole and will have mounting holes 2-11/16" apart, so these will work for your 2011 PJ Dumper trailer. If you also need new pigtails for the wiring, you can use the # A86PB or the # A46PB (right angle pigtail). I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.

  • Troubleshooting 3 Malfunctioning Trailer Marker Lights # MC53RB on 2007 PJ Flat Bed Trailer
The Optronics Round 2-Inch Sealed Flush Mount Trailer Clearance Light you referenced, part # MC53RB, can be installed either parallel- or series-wired. I was not able to find wiring information on the PJ Trailer website. Please note this incandescent light assembly is factory-sealed and does not have a user-replaceable bulb. The malfunction with all three of these lights could result from one of them failing in a series-wired configuration, from a bad ground, or it could result from a...

  • Polarity of Optronics Sealed Micro-Flex LED Trailer Side Marker # MCL50RB
The Optronics Sealed Micro-Flex LED Trailer Side Marker # MCL50RB referenced in your question does have polarity, but the PL-10 Plug # A46PB that you also have is designed so that it can only be plugged in one way. This is essentially how you will know which way to plug the harness into the light. Since LEDs use diodes, if you were to somehow connect the harness backwards, the light simply would not work and you would just need to turn it around and plug it back in. On the harness itself,...

  • Troubleshooting LED Clearance Lights on Boat Trailer
Any trailer light, whether standard incandescent or high-efficiency LED, should light up when it is connected directly to the terminals of a charged 12V battery. Direct connection avoids all other potential causes for problems, such as broken wiring, a weak ground or corrosion, and tells you whether the light functions independent of any other concerns with the trailer's wiring. But since your light works when installed on the other side of the trailer, but not when directly connected to...

  • Incandescent and LED Lights to Replace Wesbar Amber Marker Light # 203367
The original part number you referenced, 203367, is the stock number for a light made by Wesbar, a producer of OEM and aftermarket trailer lighting. Their waterproof LED equivalent version, part # 47-203667, is indeed an exact drop-in replacement for the incandescent version. This light assembly uses a pigtail wire harness for connection, part # A46PB, and a rubber mounting grommet # 221588.

  • Will the Optronics License Plate Light # LP97CB Work on a 2000 Featherlite Car Hauler
In order to determine if this Sealed, Ear Mount Trailer License Plate Light # LP97CB that you referenced would be the correct replacement license plate light you will need to compare the mounting hole dimensions to that of your current setup and see if it would bolt up. This light has a distance of 2-3/4 inches between the mounting holes. If you find that is the same as your current setup this product should work for you. • Distance Between Prongs of the Optronics Clearance Light part # MC53RB
The Optronics clearance light part # MC53RB that you referenced does use an industry standard 2 prong adapter like the part # A46PB. The distance between the prongs is 1/2 inch like you need so this would fit and work well.

  • Recommended Clearance Lights for Vintage Trailer
One of the prongs on the back of the clearance lights you referenced is for the ground wire which you will tap to a clean, metal surface. The other wire will be spliced into your trailer wiring. • Wiring Pigtail Recommendation for a Trailer Clearance Light MC55RB
The Trailer Light part # MC55RB that you referenced uses the connector part # A46PB as a pig tail harness. You would just plug the harness into the light and then run the power to the black wire and the ground to the white wire and you would be good to go.

  • Does LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light MCL52RB Need Mounting Bracket
The trailer taillight part # MCL52RB is a flange mount light which means it uses the mounting holes around the flange of the assembly to attach to the trailer so you do not need to use any additional brackets. You will need a light harness like the part # A46PB though.

  • Replacement Clearance Light for my 2004 Winnebago Minnie Winnie
The Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light part # MC57AB can be used with or without a grommet it is a standard size type light that can be utilized many different ways. As for the pigtail as you said in theory should be there but it always varies and in some cases it won't be there. I would pick one up and add it regardless just to make changing it in the future much easier if need be. The Right Angle 2-Wire Pigtail for Optronics Trailer Lights part # A46PB is the one to use.

  • Wiring Marker Light onto Trailer
Marker lights do have polarity, but when you use the correct pigtail for the lamp it'll be evident which wire is which. For example, the # MC57RB marker light you referred to uses a # A46PB pigtail. The pigtail will only insert into the back of the lamp one way, the black wire is for power and the white wire grounds to the trailer. I'll link you to our trailer wiring help article, which contains all kinds of diagrams and helpful information.

  • What Size Hole Is Needed to Install Optronics LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light # MCL52AB
I went out to the warehouse and pulled Optronics LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light # MCL52AB to measure the back of the light. The back of the light that will fit into the hole on the trailer measures 2.27 inches so you would need a 2-1/4 inch hole. But I do recommend starting out slightly smaller just to be safe. You can always make a small hole larger but you can't make a large hole smaller. For a pigtail to plug into this light use # A46PB.

This bracket comes with a gasket which creates a weather-tight seal. For a wire, I recommend the Right Angle 2-Wire Pigtail for Optronics Lights # A49PB.
