Do you have a question about this Accessories and Parts?

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
  • To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. The leaf mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted...

  • Recommended Air Helper Spring Options for Lifted 2001 Ford F250
  • I'd recommend the Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Spring Kit, part # F2484, unless you have a gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch, in which case the # F2550 would be a better choice. You'll need either the # F2375 6 inch or # F2371 4 inch spacer kit, depending on the amount you're truck has been lifted. You might also be interested in an on-board compressor system like part # F2158 for the standard-duty or # F2097 for the heavy duty compressor. A compressor system would allow you to adjust...

  • Availability of 6 Inch Spacers for Firestone Airbags on a Truck with 6 Inch Lift
  • You would just need the 6 inch spacers, # F2374. Using 2 sets of the 3 inch spacers is not a good idea because the more components you add to the system the more points of weakness there are. Not that the spacers or system are weak but if you can avoid a potential issue it would be a good idea. Spacer # F2374 is for use on air bag systems that mount on leaf springs and # F2375 is for air bag systems that mount on axles.

  • Are Spacers Needed to Install Firestone Air Bags on a Lifted Truck
  • If your lift is on the front of the truck but not the rear then you would not need to use any spacers to install Firestone air bags # F2071. On the rear, you would need spacers if the distance between the truck frame and the axle has increased. The size of the spacer is going to depend on the amount of lift. Firestone has the following: For vehicles with 1-1/2 inch lift use # F2536 For 2 inches use # F2366 For 3 inches use # F2368 For 4 inches use # F2371 For 5 inches use # F2372 For...

  • Parts Needed To Install Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs on 2005 Dodge 2500 w/ 6 Inch Lift
  • To install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2299, on your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, you will need to use a lift spacer kit. You will need the Firestone Lift Spacer, part # F2375. You will need to check and see the actual lift you got from your lift kit. The # F2375 bracket kit is designed to use with the Firestone Air Springs and trucks that are lifted 6 inches. You will want to measure from the upper and lower brackets on the truck, as it should measure between 11-1/2...

  • Parts Needed to Install Firestion Ride-Rite Air Bags on a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 With a 6 Inch Lift
  • Assuming the lift kit on your 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 has a 6 inch suspension lift, the only additional parts that you will need are the Ride-Rite Lift Spacers, # F2375, for 6 inch lift kits in addition to the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, # F2299. If your truck has a 6 inch body lift, then you will not need the additional spacers because body lifts do not raise the frame of your truck, only the body. The lift spacers will install under the air bags between the bottom of the air...

  • Can Firestone Air Bags be Installed on a Chevy Silverado with a 6 Inch Lift
  • It depends on the lift type that is on your Silverado. If it is a body lift, meaning the frame is still the same distance from the axle as stock, then you can still use the appropriate air bag system for your truck. But if it is a suspension lift then the air bags will not fit unless you use spacers, # F2375, designed for vehicles with a 6 inch lift.

  • Recommended Suspension System for a 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 with a 6 Inch Lift
  • I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs # F2525 because they have a load-leveling capacity of at least 3,200 pounds up to 5,000 pounds. You can adjust the air pressure between 5 psi to 100 psi. Note that air springs will not increase your weight capacity and I recommend checking your owners manual for the recommended weight limit. If your 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 has a suspension lift (the axle further away from the frame than stock), I recommend you get Firestone lift...

  • Air Spring Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2005 Ford F-250 with 6 inch Lift
  • If you have a 2 wheel drive model of the 2005 Ford F-250 the air spring kit I would recommend is the part # F2398. If you have the 4 wheel drive model you would instead want the part # F2400. Both of these kits have been confirmed by Firestone as fitting with fifth wheel install rail kits. Since you have a 6 inch lift kit you will also want the spacer kit for lifted trucks # F2375.

  • Will Air Springs Reduce Trailer Sway with 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab That Has 6-Inch Lift
  • I suggest that before you install a suspension enhancement kit to reduce your trailer sway you confirm two things on your towing set-up. First, make sure your trailer is level when hitched. If the trailer frame tips upward or downward, then this can lead to sway. The trailer frame needs to be level when hitched. If you need to you can select a ball mount with more drop to allow your trailer to be level. I linked you to our main page for adjustable ball mounts; you can use the filters...
