Solves my problem w/ a high coupler trailer and wanting the ability to open my tail gate w/o hitting it on the ball. After working w/ the great support guys at Progress Mfg., this one was determined to solve my problem, vs. the one that their Web site hitch selection tool recommended. Weight Distribution/Sway Control for Travel Trailer w/1,460 lbs Tongue Weight and 2012 Ford F-250
Since the trailer tongue weight is so high and you have a 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch, I recommend Strait-Line Weight Distribution system, # RP66075. This system has a tongue weight capacity range of 1,000 to 1,700 pounds. The problem is that you may have to modify or remove the items on the trailer tongue, primarily the chest and platform the battery is setting on in order to use the system.
