I do know that the bed is not as thick as that 1 inch thick steel plate, so considering that the bolts will have to go through the bed, the plate, possibly the hitch depending on how it is designed and how much space there is, these bolts will probably be long enough to install and to use on your 1996 Chevy C/K series 3500.
