Manual Reverse Lockout
This manual lockout easily installs on any Demco DA91 hydraulic brake actuator so that you can back up your vehicle without your trailer's brakes locking up. To activate the lockout, just rotate the tab on the side of the actuator to the left. Once the lockout has been activated, you can back up your trailer without triggering the trailer brakes. Always remember to restore the tab to its original position when preparing to move forward.

Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to take a quick look at the manual reverse lockout pin kit for your Demco brake actuators. So this is a pretty simple piece to help you lock out the brakes. So you can actually reverse without those brakes being engaged. It's going to come with a kind of tab to go over your pin and then the clip to keep it in place.So pretty simple, you'll just pull out the actuator, pull out the inner sleeve to expose the side tabs and then place in this pin with the tab facing horizontally, and that should lock into it and help you to make those moves without the brakes being engaged.It does come with some instructions with a diagram to kind of make it a little bit easier to get this installed and this little pin to get that out of place, you just kind of have to coax it around. It sort of wraps around the pen.
So if you pull up on this piece, that should free it up, and then, let you take that off.Rotate it around, there we go. This is made in the USA. It is designed for use with the Demco model, DA91 trailer brake actuator, and it is going to be a rust resistant zinc coated steel pin and that steel tab has a nice powder coat on it to make it resistant to any rest as well. I haven't installed it yet but it seems well made and appears to be just as advertised.
I watched the installation video and was not impressed. Little-to-no information about how to actually install the item was presented. The item does come with more detailed instructions.
The presentation consisted mainly of talking about the item and no details. It would have been helpful to actually demonstrate the item being installed.

I don't know yet, it's too cold to install in my driveway this week the installation of the manual lever was easy and when I get the brakes and actuator installedv= ///i will send some info.

Sorry to say it didn't do the job 100% as expected. It has to be held in place by hand while vehicle is backing up (dangerous) .. because it will not stay horizontal. Needs either a locking pin option or a longer tang that keeps it atop the plastic piece it is designed to rest on inside the trailers brake system.
