  • Is there Drilling Involved to Install the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs # AL59530
  • I checked the installation instructions for the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs # AL59530 that you referenced and there is drilling into the frame to attach the upper brackets of this kit onto your 2004 Toyota Tundra. I attached a picture that shows where the drilling will take place in the frame. I also attached the installation instructions for this product that shows everything needed to install this product.

  • Can Reese Dual-Cam Sway Control be Used Without a Weight Distribution System
  • You would need to have spring bars on a weight distribution system in order to use dual-cam sway control # RP26002. Without a bar attached to it the dual-cam system cannot work. For sway control only you will need to use a friction bar like # 83660. You would just need to add a sway control bracket like # RP26003 for a Class III or IV hitch or # RP26005 for Class II hitches. I have included a link to a typical installation for you to view.

  • Installation Difficulty for AirLift 1000 Rear Helper Springs, part # AL60732, in 2004 Toyota Sienna
  • To install the AirLift 1000 Rear Helper Springs, part # AL60732, in your 2004 Toyota Sienna you will need to either jack up the rear of the vehicle or raise it on a hoist and support the vehicle frame with safety stands. This is necessary to allow the rear suspension to fully extend for insertion of the helper springs. It is not necessary to dismantle the suspension system. Apart from this you will need only basic tools. Installation consists of slipping the deflated air spring cylinder betwe

  • Mounting CIPA Universal Deluxe Door Mount Mirror, Part # 11650, on 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition
  • The CIPA Door Mount Mirror, part # 11650, is intended as a universal-fit item, but evidently the bottom door cladding on your particular vehicle provides an exception to the universal fit. I checked with CIPA and they do note that vehicle doors with plastic trim on the bottom can occasionally pose a fit issue with this product. One option is to cut and remove the portion of the bottom door cladding that blocks the spot where the bottom clip should be positioned in order to allow the clip to m

  • The Hopkins trailer wiring harness # 46255 does fit the 2004 Toyota Avalon. This harness and the others that fit your vehicle, see link, all require splicing into the vehicle wiring for installation. I have included links to instructions and a link to a video showing another harness that fits your vehicle, # 119176KIT, being installed on an actual 2004 Toyota Avalon.

  • No Power to ETBC7, 7-Way Trailer Connector After Installation
  • In order for the # ETBC7 to work properly you have to make sure that it is grounded to the vehicle frame at a place that is clean and free of corrosion. The light functions should all work if you just have the 4-Way plugged into the ETBC7 and it is properly grounded. Then when you hardwire in the black wire for 12 volt power, blue wire from a brake controller, and purple wire for reverse lights, those will all start working. but nothing will work or work properly unless the white wire is grounde

  • Towing Suspension Recommendation for 2004 Toyota Tundra Towing 21 Foot 4000 lb Trailer
  • The best solution for reducing sag and safely towing your 21 foot, 4000 lb Heartland North Trails trailer with your 2004 Toyota Tundra would be to use a weight distribution system. When pulling a trailer, I recommend weight distribution over suspension enhancement. Suspension enhancement primarily suspends loads carried in the bed or cargo area of a vehicle. Weight distribution is called for when the rears of the vehicle sags because of the tongue weight applied to it. Before making a decisio

  • No Green Light on Tekonsha PowerTrac Brake Controller, Part # 39523, When Trailer is Connected
  • First, confirm that there are no other items that generate radio frequency interference (RFI) mounted within one foot of the controller; items such as cell phones and CB radios can interfere with its operation and could affect the display. (Also, if you happen to have a breakaway switch on your trailer, take care that you do not ever test it with the trailer connected to the vehicle as this will damage the controller. Ensure it is wired correctly since reversed connections to the breakaway ba

I would also recommend checking your owners manual to see if a lube pump is needed to flat tow your vehicle. Lube pumps are available through Remco. The tow bar that I would recommend is the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar, # BX7365. This tow bar is compatible with the Blue Ox Base Plates, # BX3762, and it includes

  • How to Identify the Correct Brake Switch Wire for a Brake Controller on a 2004 Toyota Highlander

I have attached a video of our technician testing for the correct brake switch wire for you to reference. Begin at the 6 minute and 25 second mark. The vehicle in the video is different than yours, but this should give y

  • We do have some trunk mount bike rack options for the 2004 Toyota Prius, but the Rhode Gear Super Shuttle cannot be safely mounted to your vehicle. • Bike Racks for 2004 Toyota Rav4 That Allows Cargo Area Access
  • Due to the lack of space between the bottom of the rear door and the top of the receiver hitch, the swinging bike racks are not a good option for your RAV4. Although the rack is capable of swinging, the foot of the rack will prevent the door from being opened for more than a few inches. To carry 2 or 3 bikes, a spare tire mounted rack would be your best option, although opening the rear door while the bikes are attached to the rack is not recommended due to the fact that the additional weight

  • Folding Cargo Carrier for 2004 Toyota Sienna
  • The decision to go with a standard or folding carrier is a matter of personal preference. Being able to fold the carrier upwards by 90 degrees against the rear of the vehicle is a convenient feature for when the carrier is not being used, but you do not want to remove it. The only down side is that the folding mechanism takes up some space on the shank, which means that the hitch pin hole on your receiver needs to be pretty close to the rear of the bumper in order to fold. • If you ordered 2 SportRack J-Stacker Kayak Carriers # ABR511 like you referenced you would be able to carry two kayaks as long as the weight capacity of your roof is not exceeded. You should have enough clearance to tighten the thumbscrews to your roof rack as this rack is confirmed to fit your vehicle. • Front Mount Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Tundra
  • For a front mount hitch for your 2004 Toyota Tundra, there are 2 options, see link. Both of them are going to require drilling, trimming, and/or removal of the skid plate for the hitches to fit properly. I would go with the Draw-Tite hitch, # 65031 because it has a high vertical line pull at 500 pounds. Vertical line pull is like the tongue weight rating on a hitch that would be on the back of the vehicle. It is the amount of downward force the hitch can handle. Though the hitch can handle

  • Hitch and 4 Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Avalon

This hitch is a Class II hitch that can carry a bike rack with 4 bikes on it as long as the total weight of the bikes and rack are less than the tongue weight capacity of the hitch and the capacity that is listed in your owners manual. For a quality 4 bike rack that will not break the bank I would recommend you get a Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Carrier # S63380. This rack tilts to give you access to the cargo area of your vehicle a

Out of the options, I recommend the Thule Raceway 3, # TH9002. The Raceway 3 is the easiest and fastest bike rack to install or remove that I have used. Without knowing how the frames of the bikes in question are designed, I cannot say with any certainty if the adapter bars are required or not. The arms that the bikes hang from are relatively close together at 17-1/2 inches, making it likely that you would physically be able to connect the bikes to the rack. However, when installed, the bikes
